Very nice. I love the "real" content meaning not a lot of video production and it gives the impression that anyone can go out and do it. Thank you guys make more of the same..
There are a LOT of decent trails in that area. Lived in Conway until about 14 months ago, and that was my playground. Now in NWA and spend most of my time on a MTB
Agreed! I know most of the overland community prefers HAM (which I'd like to get into at some point) but for close range communication (vehicle to vehicle in a convoy) and for spotting, CB's work great!
That's a good idea! I'll eventually do a video on my radio setup, but realistically, for the sorts of distances I usually need radio coverage over, a simple 2-way like that will work fine.
Home made ones, actually! Those are my own design Gen 1 pillar lights. Cost me about $5 in steel and an afternoon to make. I'll eventually do a video on them...just been busy with the job that pays the bills these days!
awsome vid, i was wondering with your experience driving an f150 off road what would be the best setup for medium to heavy off road for a stock f150 fx4 2016 ? speaking tire, shocks, control arms, bumpers etc
Hey Bart! Thanks for checking out Overland Lab! I'm going to do a whole video on my suspension here as soon as I can. I'm working with a Company out of Australia called Dobinson to design a new front coilover setup for the 09-14 F-150. Once we get the kinks worked out, I'll have a full video on the suspension! I am running a Total Chaos Uniball Upper Control Arm and I really like it! I would assume the setup will be very similar to a 2016, just a different spring rate based on the different weight of the truck. As far as bumpers, I'm going to be running a little bit of a different system...check out this video: ruclips.net/video/MI0XYJ8VTA4/видео.html and stay tuned for future videos on the subject of armoring and protecting an F-150!
Hello! I've never been in a situation where fuel range limitations have been an issue. With that said, on any roadtrip, I always bring ONE gerry can, and on trips where I know trails are in my future I bring two. In the ozarks, there are enough random "mom n' pop" gas stations to keep the trucks fueled up. On a related note, one of the things that I think is spectacular about the 09-14 F-150 V8 4x4 is the surprisingly good fuel economy. When the truck was all stock (just the topper) I could get 19-20 on the highway. Loaded down with gear like you see for this trip, I think I got 17 on the highway (Roof top tents are not known for being aerodynamic!). I just got back from a long roadtrip from Texas (mostly highway, at about 50% full "adventure" weight) and I think I averaged 16-17 without the RTT, but with the bigger tires and new suspension. Really, for a big truck like that, I can't be mad about that! Plus, it has plenty of power! Can't be mad about that!
Great job on the rig... glad to see another F150 out there on the trails....
Thanks! It's still coming along, and it's got a long way to go...but it's a great piece of hardware!
"It's just gonna BASH the side of your truck in!" This is the statement of a real good buddy.

The Toyota driver was annoyed.. “ if this log slips, it’s just gonna bash the side of your truck in “ Toyota driver: ok man! Lol 😂

Looks like a day's wheeling trip in Montana
Don't forget walkie talkies, extremely useful

I have a couple of Motorola 2 way radios and work awesome, for the price they are cheaper than CBs and get much better distance

Any link to rack that goes over the cap like on the f150
Hi how are you and your f150, I just got a 2010, only 37000 miles. Thanks for the great info. 🏁👻👍
This is why I always carry a chainsaw with me while wheeling. Trees down on trails happen way more than you'd expect.
It takes guts 2 drive a nice truck through a river with no lift or big tires, I don't think I'd be willing 2 do that in my F150.
Wa sup bro love seen some one out a ford to work , I was wondering where this trail was, I have a f150 and would like to put it to work
love to see guys useing the f150. i also have a 2013 that i am building. what light mounts are those by your a pillar?

Overland Lab thank you for your response, i'm excited for your suspension vid
Got gps coordinates for trail head?
Well how do you like your rig set up
I like what I'm seeing in the F150 overlanding! Did you carry extra fuel or was the 36 gallons enough?

Is this a public trail head
How far away is that from where you are?
5hrs or so. Close enough for a good weekend trip!
That's not to bad.
Are you kidding me with this music? Sounds like a Stormy Daniels video.
Don't insult old Stormy. Wait. It's impossible to insult her.
