First RHCP cover - Suck My Kiss
Big fan of Blood Sugar Sex Magik (title track is brilliant), John Frusciante was on fire on guitar for this album, mixing Hendrix with a New Wave/Alternative approach to the songs.
Used a bit of chorus on the distortion but quite a dry/distorted tone, Jazzmaster worked well on this one.

Always found the Chillies a mixed bag, Austin. Californication was good along with a few other tracks. But not really my cup of tea, so to speak. Nevertheless, you nailed this again. Although now I'm reminded of early REM. Ever done any of theirs? Some great riffs as I recall. Same with Hawkwind and Chronicles of the Black Sword.

Yeah, a love/hate band for some people, one band who were on the edge of the Alternative scene but not as much as say, janes Addiction. I used to go to a pub and they'd play their cover of Stevie Wonders Higher Ground which is what got me into them. Used to love a bit of REM back in the day - Finest Worksong/One I love/Orange Crush
