Two Minutes, it took two minutes for Omni-Man to whoop Homelander’s ass and much deserved. Haven’t seen a death battle this short since Shadow vs Mewtwo

Macho Man vs Kool-Aid man was shorter. 2:12 for the whole fight, intro and all. It felt longer because they interrupted the fight with a research segment

Because Death Battle wanted to show people that they aren’t full of debunked battles. But, this was just another poor Vought promotion where one of their warriors get murdered by INVINCIBLE J Jonah Jameson.
He said in the fight, you got to lean back with hits
That and he didn't want Homelander to run off scared just yet

Omniman is voiced by Tom Schalk, who also voice Kool-aid Man and Dio. Fun fact, he won all three matchups, with Kool-aid Man beating Macho Man, Dio beating Alucard, and Omniman beating Homelander.

I don’t care this battle was one-sided. I wanted Homelander to get brutally murdered. Also, because waiting for Invincible season 2 is just more painful than getting lasered by heat vision.
Honestly, I wish the fight would have had a few quick segments here and there like say, after Omni man gives homelander a pep talk about how to fight, he makes Homelander bleed, Homelander gets mad and starts throwing any punches he can, to which Omni man would effortlessly dodge. Eventually Homelander throws a kick to which Omni man Catches it and says “better, but a bit predictable on that” then twists Homelander around and falls downwards, then the fight continues as it did.
Yup, that's what happens when a spoiled diva tries to challenge an actual warrior.

Not quite true, one reaction video I have seen put their faith in Homelander, but I have seen 10 of them so far, so that’s not saying much.
Without spoiling the comics, Omni-man does actually change. I won't say how or how long it took, but he does

I don't think they were forced to, but I think the misconception is the fight takes place around Christmas time which made people think that this was a planned season finale, but to that, I say, they've made plenty of Halloween themed fights air no where close to October.
You know, I think DEATH BATTLE! shouldn't tease characters in future "next season" trailers. By my count, every character shown off has lost.

I think the Christmas theme was supposed to serve as a thematic idea, you know Omniman returns home to have a Christmas dinner with his family but Homelander ruins it. Since this was basically a stomp they needed to work in some kind of story to make us care.
They’ve left a couple of references in this season that I predict are teasing an upcoming matchup

And here in Omni-Man VS Homelander, the music Track is called “Diabolical Invincible Me”
I predict that Gru VS Megamind is going to happen this season, I wouldn’t be surprised if it did

A small correction: Viltrumites do not have "sensitive hearing", but they have a very sensitive sense of equilibrium. This means that they are more sensitive to certain frequencies designed to disrupt your sense of equilibrium, and not simple loud noises. Most of the stuff that Omni-Man and other Viltrumites have been hit with is WAY louder than Homelander's screams, and they just shrug it off. So no matter how loud Homelander could have gotten, it most likely would not have actually damaged Omni-Man at all, unless Homelander could also match the specific frequencies that the Viltrumites are sensitive too, which just seems highly improbable.
If you read the comics and know how crazy viltromites are you know this battle makes sense. Homelander is a man-child with superpowers vs a sudo wolvarine with planet destroying capability and with thousands of years of battle experience. For reference a specific viltromite had his face bashed into moosh but still lived. Another survived even after getting their intestines pulled out.
One correction: Viltrumite's sense of equilibrium(which, like in humans is all centered in the ears) is super sensitive, not their hearing.
Before watching, knowing how you reacted to Harley Quinn VS Jinx and the...dynamite cigar thing, I'm a bit worried how you'll take the death in this episode. Good luck mate

Despite everything Omni Man has done I wouldn't call him a bad person. Though this my bias since I read the comics and know what will happen.

Ok...I've hidden in the bush long enough...Its time for me to reveal my regret...yes...I was one of those people who thought this was RoosterTeeth forced...and I truly...truly apologize...there were other reasons I thought of to why this matchup happened, but I know it was very stupid of me to think this matchup being RoosterTeeth forced, or Amazon sponsered was most likely...considering this wasn't even Amazon sponsered AT ALL... It just bothers me that most people saw this matchup as pointless, because of how one-sided it was...saying that there was "no reason" to make this happen...I wanted to respond by saying that there was a reason or two...but clearly I didn't know what I was typing...one half of me was thinking that the Death Battle team had other plans for the characters that Homlander was going to originally fight...another half was thinking that they didn't want to do two Dragon Ball matchups in a row, therefore they couldn't do Omni Man VS Bardock this season...yet another part of me just thought...this matchup was simply requested... despite people saying its POINTLESS...more predictable reasons were cluttering inside me... I wanted to ask them that mismatches aren't always a problem... that there isn't always going to be a lot of fairly close ones...and mostly impotently...that no matter what... they could always be entertaining...but the more stupid reasons I thought of...the more stupid I became myself...and again...I want to say that I'm truly remorseful to everyone...and everything in the Death battle community...

I have to be honest. Even though I rarely look at the pre analysis’ and the sneak peeks before the actual episode comes out, I just couldn’t help but want to look at the sneak peek of the fight for this one since it showed up on my RUclips menu on the recommended part. It was interesting. But, I still prefer watching entire episodes blind, ‘cause I love surprises. But still, pretty cool fight.

Playing Devil's advocate for a moment, I don't think the misinformation about being forced to do this one for views was made out of spite or malice like the RT bias rumor that somehow still gets pushed around (but I'm sure for some folks it was), but it was definitely a pretty bad misreading of a quote from one of their previous casts. The same thing kind of happened during last year's break, but in the opposite direction, funny enough. Sure, Ben said he had a preferred matchup, and sure they knew it was a gigantic stomp, but they never said they disliked the idea. Besides, they've turned shit into gold before, and vice versa, so it's both shitty behavior and stupid for folks to get mad before the episode even comes out.
On the subject of that episode, it was pretty solid. Short, and not all that elaborate, but it looked great, had its cool moments, and represented Omni-Man and Homelander pretty well, so I'd call it a success.
Sadly, people seem to have forgotten the golden rule of the internet: do NOT believe everything you see. As for the episode itself: ditto
My man Tetsuo Shima has a chance, He in the Manga can rip apart the Moon which leads me to think he can Telekinetically crush him, Gonna be interesting where they scale Magneto.
If I remember correctly, there was a thing where Magneto could control the magnetic fields binding molecules together, so if they give him that, he can essentially just turn Tetsuo into atom soup

All it will take is just one panel of Magneto taking damage from Heralds of marvel and those are like Multiversal characters and then r.i.p Tetsuyo, it's a manga character who has few years of story vs a comic book character with 30 decades of work.
