The Stones had a stage shaped like their logo. Mick Jagger told Lynyrd Skynyrd not to go on the tongue. During Freebird Ronnie led the band onto the tongue in defiance.
Mainly because RVZ didn’t give a F about what any band said. Ronnie said in his own words that it was Skynyrd’s job to blow every other band off of the stage! In my opinion they did that and more! Just a Skynyrd fans opinion!
Attendance was between 100,000 and 250.000 no one knows for sure, Bands were Don Harrison Band, Hot Tuna, Todd Rundgren and Utopia, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 10cc, and The Rolling Stones, They were not well known in the UK but after this show they were. They played for years in bars and stuff until they opened for the Who in 73 and they blew up the nine year over night success band
You fast forwarded it several times or let it play while talking.....please go back and listen carefully to all of it. Three lead guitars plus killer bass, stand out piano and a serious drummer, not to mention the vocals
lol, I clicked on your channel to watch a reaction, but most of it was listening to you. I don’t mean to be critical but you may want to pause the song when talking.
