On March 2011, one of the deadliest disasters in Japan's history occurred. A massive earthquake and subsequent tsunami resulted in a catastrophic nuclear meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. The area surrounding the plant was deemed uninhabitable due to dangerous levels of radiation, creating a ghost town frozen in time. Join us on a haunting tour of the abandoned Fukushima radiation zone to uncover the secrets and devastation left behind.

I was working for a Japanese company (in North America) at the time of the Tōhoku Event. This was heartbreaking to see. It all is, yet a primary school is something more. Thank you for sharing this. Truly.
I can't imagine what you was feeling when you found out. I feel like Fukushima has been heavily forgotten and that's why I went there to explore it. So it's on the internet for the rest of time showing that the after effects of the disaster are still being cleaned up. Thank you for watching and appreciating the content
Found your note that you left on the chalkboard 😅 that place was absolutely amazing to visit... For me kind of the holy grale of a lost place.
I cried a lot of times in here I honestly cannot explain the feelings I experienced, I'm sure you feel the same way. It's crazy this will stand here like this until demolition. So glad you got to see it too
Hi Tokyo, I just subscribed to your channel because Matt asked everyone watching his "live" to do so to help get you to the 3k subscriber level!!❤
Thank you Mynx, I really appreciate it! Hope your enjoying the videos
Always wild when there's a disaster that requires you to just leave.
It's crazy how from Chernobyl we didn't learn and it happened again it's devastating
Came over from Finders bleepers.
Thank you for coming over Bella
Me too👍
Excellent video, so sad seeing All the children's things left behind. ❤
One of the saddest explores I've ever done even editing it I was crying because each belonging had a significant meaning to that child 😢
Came from Absolute Beauties, subscribed and shared ! SO CLOSE TO 3K ❤️
Thank you Brenna! Hoping to hit 3k by end of this month let's go!!!
I like how you just assumed the "English Festival" was celebrating England rather than the English language. I immediately went to the English language/literature, probably because I'm not from England.
That's very true I didn't think of it as English language more of celebrating English cultures and the traditions we have, who knows!
Great video guys! Subbed 🤘🏻
Thank you Hooligan it's really appreciated (also boss name)!
@@tokyomatilda No worries at all! Thank you very much! 😆🤘🏼

Hi Tokyo! Found you on Strayed Explorer and enjoyed watching you laugh your way through a haunted investigation with Lottie and Andy. Thought I'd come on over and check out your channel. I like it and I subbed! Hope to see you do more paranormal collabs because you're quite good at it. I do enjoy a good explore though so I'm happy I found you. You have great content.♡ Hope that foot is healing nicely.
Thank you Angel! Glad you loved the investigation, I hope to do some more with Lottie and Andy in future. I was scared but had a brilliant time! The foot is nearly normal now, appreciate you commenting and supporting

Thank you Cath and for supporting the content I appreciate it
Aww, the bags....how sad 😥
Broke my heart 😢😢
So did the children who attended that school pass away or died in the earthquake/nuclear disaster?
They went here to escape the tsunami and instead put themselves in danger of radiation. They was so close to the power station that unfortunately it would have been a day or two and there insides would have turned on them it's heartbreaking 😢
Just subscribed to her channel Matt, will watch the video later.
Thank you Janet
I love your accent Tokyo!
Thank you Sharon!
So sad when this happened 13 years ago? yeah i'm tryin not to cry as well, Oh and yes Japan made Pokémon soo they made Pokémon only for Japan kids for brushin their teeth, take a shower time so yeah for their kidz.. And we can't get most of them here it's Japan only
Even editing it I burst into tears it's to sad to even think about. I never knew that about Pokemon that super cool!! Thank you for that
Is the place safe?
It's now safe to walk around for a couple of hours but we couldn't stay over in this area for more than two nights, after that the radiation would start to affect us.
Mat sent my mum and I over
Also have you told mat about that translation app
Thank you for coming over! Yes told Matt about the translation app it's a lifesaver in different countries!
Came from Finders Beepers & subscribed 👍🏻
Thank you Kim and thank you also for the sub
Brilliant! Do you know what happened to these kids after evacuating? Why did they not survive?
After the earthquake and tsunami hit they thought they were safe as they was a bit more inland. Unfortunately they was extremely close to the power station and just as they were thinking they were safe the radiation started leaking and spread to where they were which is heartbreaking 😢
@@tokyomatilda oh no, that’s so heartbreaking! You held it together courageously and professionally sweetie, I would have been a blubbering mess!
