With COVID-19 restrictions, Bel-Air's casting director, Vickie Thomas, was unable to hold in-person casting calls and had to find talent unconventionally by sifting through thousands of audition tapes to find the perfect Will. But when Jabari Banks' came through, executive producer Morgan Cooper knew they had found the one. With his passion and charisma, Banks blew the team away. Synopsis: Set in modern-day America, Peacock’s new one-hour drama series Bel-Air imagines the beloved sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a new, dramatic take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. As these two worlds collide, Will reckons with the power of second chances while navigating the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known.

If you’re going to do a reboot this is how it should be done. A lot of people doubted this when the original trailer came out now just about everyone who watched Bel 👑 Air is giving the show its praise. Great all around job so far.

Jabari is definitely the perfect fit for this role..his acting is amazing for his first time. Looking forward to seeing him in other shows/movies. Im sure his family is so proud of him. Amazing stuff. Looks a lot like young Will too. Awesome.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The casting for will's mom is seriously phenomenal I saw her on the have and have nots from tyler Perry she is a great actress

This show is amazing. I was born in 87 so fresh prince is apart of my childhood.. I’m so glad Will had something to do with the creation of this series…. It is one of the best re-makes ever… they did it with full house and Roseanne but this IS FOR THE PEOPLE! I love it

I'm not subscription heavy, but you better bet I subscribed to Peacock TV just to watch Season 1 of this show. I watched all 4 shows in one night and LOVED each one. It was so well written and the actors nailed it. It was honestly refreshing to watch. I can't say that about a lot on TV.
Truthfully, I had my bias against the show because I watched fresh prince of bel air my whole life. But because Will was behind this, I decided to give it a shot, and I am not disappointed. I love the spin. Immediately I noticed this is not a reboot comedy. It's a drama series based on the comedy. Im hoping it has longevity like the original. Great cast, great acting, great writing....I LOVE IT!!!!
