I think one of the players thought this was a singles match.
Fr, she was a ball hog, and she let her teammate down fr
Exactly! Straight-up hogging the real estate!😂
Exactly
OK. I don't know pickle ball(!), but I've played racket sports with a partner once or twice, and I'm gonna say, ZERO CHANCE that wasn't fully discussed and fully agreed to by both parties. My question is WHY exactly?... Is she so much better? She was great, but the other woman looked good too -- and to my eye, she didn't "let her partner down" as much as their *strategy* of having her play toward the middle of the court failed them when their opponents finally played one wide enough to her forehand on the prior shot to set up that last winning shot into her feet. Good point anyway! 😁
@@mweymar A bit of hyperbole, for sure! Those of us who've played doubles in tennis, squash, or racketball know that, at times, you can "buffalo" your partner because you feel you're in a groove, or your over aggressive. I've done it many times! It can be difficult to get the proper balance of letting your partner take a ball or two, or three, and you knowing when to take a shot. Just calling out "Your shot!" or "Ball's yours!" isn't always effective, especially when you have fractions-of-a-second to respond in a game like pickle-ball. There definitely are those, though, whose idea of teamwork is an idea that is quite foreign. Their idea of doubles is: "I'll let you have a shot if I feel like it!"
Satisfying that the girl hogging the court is the one who couldn’t return the last shot 👏🏽
75 likes and 0 comments lemme fix that
It's almost like she ran out of energy
Yep. Had she been holding down her side…
Yep, she is the dominant of that team and the best female player but there were at least two shots she should have left to her partner’s forehand.
Well, her partner kind of set her up. She had to block a ball going down the line, and then that popped it up and was hard to block again.
Pickle ball: even the greatest points make you sleepy.
I fell asleep here, twice
😂
I love this point, and I still love this comment! Hilarious. Mad respect to these women who can play such a great point, but ... hey, it's not for everyone!
I love playing pickleball with my friends, but wow I just watch these clips and think about how I can be watching tennis instead.
This is the only sport where you can’t tell a pro from an amateur.
The girl that was serving was not letting her partner play, and it cost them the point/game.
Yes , wanted to be the hero
The “girl that was serving” comment shows you have no idea what is happening here.
@@steveraymond6169 What do u mean by that?
She is the best female pickleball player in the world. I'd let her take the shots too. 😂

To understand successful "poaching" (shifting into your partner's area) one should probably have played tennis, first. Only poach if you know you can hit a winner. Otherwise, you're hogging play from your partner.

If this is the most viral moment in pickleball history then consider me dead.

PICKLE BALL: when you fail in playing TENNIS and PING PONG.
Mcosmskdmdoskdkkd
😂 That’s a good point 👏
I'd rather watch badminton.
That doesn't mean it's not fun. I play both tennis and pickle ball and enjoy both the same
AMEN!!!!!!
this is so sick because the broadcast showed it from the other side -- fun to relive it from a new angle
You have waaaayyyy too much time 😂
Some sports don’t need to be played professionally.
I haven’t played this myself but it looks like there’s a huuge skill cap, should definitely be kept recreational
@@supreme_zeeyus no there isnt
I play tennis, and pickle ball was completely different than what I originally thought. The ball and the racket don’t allow for any spin. So for old people who just tap balls this is perfect. It’s a recreational sport that really shouldn’t be played this hard cuz at this rate just go do badminton, ping pong, or tennis
@@supreme_zeeyus What? The skill gap is tiny in pickleball
@@chasepetersen9978 OP said skill CAP not skill gap- aka you can only get better to a certain point then it’s just boring and it’s impossible to put the ball away
Everyone. Who's hating on this sport never actually played it. It's so much fun. And I've been playing tennis for 20 years.
Played it several times and still don’t entertain my friends, but it’s boring. This video is boring. Glad you like it and others get fun out of it. But due to me being bored and behind a computer, I will hate on it
Can't you run 10 steps any more?
Don’t hate it. It’s probably fun, but not so much as a spectator sport.
@@RobbieMcCormick honestly most sports are not fun to watch as spectator unless you play it and knows what is going on. I think golf and baseball are mind numbingly boring but I don't play it so I don't enjoy it. However many people enjoy since those guys get paid millions
@@michaelmanning7954 What kind of loser keeps watching something they hate? Seriously, get some will power!
This went viral from everyone watching it, falling asleep and it replaying 185 times. Only 200 people have seen this video.

Eighteen thousand likes so far loser.
No, there are always plenty of butt hurt players of other sports who watch Pickleball clips only so that they could whine about how terrible it is! You guys are always the comic relief!
Just hearing about this sport for the first time, still more than what I can do.
They are professional. 😊
This is way more fun to watch than tennis, imo
No...
no

For every salty tennis player comment, another tennis court gets converted into two more pickleball courts
Amen 🙏
Yeah why can't pickleball players get their own courts instead you're stealing tennis courts that were originally built for tennis. Bunch of thieves. Pickleballs are annoying sport it's for those who can't run or play tennis.
Pickleball is America's fastest-growing sport and we like it #Pickleball
Quite the dynamic play for sure, great volley with excellent precision!
I see why they made this sport for old people. Can we keep it that way
Nah. It’s too much fun. I’ll definitely be playing this till I’m an old man tho
And have “walker” and “wheelchair” divisions.
I mean who said you had to play or go out of your way to comment on something that’s irrelevant to you? 🤡
@@PlayGamesRideBikes I started playing this a couple weeks ago and I love it. My comment is no longer relevent lol
@@thechristianinitiative1445 I think that’s the issue. People that bash it just simply haven’t played it to realize how fun it is. It doesn’t have to be taken to the level of the video, it’s just fun 🤷🏼♂️
I ain’t gone lie this ish tough! lol 💪🏾
Team work is a big part of any game. The girl that served had a hard time learning that. Because of her they lost.
Incredible volley 🎾
Nice rally !🙂👍
Imagine meeting a woman at a bar, she asks what you do for a living. Your response is PICKLEBALL referee.
Is that worse or better than pickleball player?
@@floydpinkerton7954 definitely worse ahha
Or even worse, a pickleball judge
Or pickleball “coach”.
I’d have no problem saying that to a girl lol
0:40 Starting here, the woman in white on the right is attacked hard and low to alternate sides of her body four times in rapid succession.
That two-hander from the center down the midline by ALW was heavy and perfectly placed. 13 frames at 30 fps between the attacking paddle contact and the defensive paddle contact, about 450 ms. It's insanely hard to generate a soft touch on such a heavy ball so close to the ground away from the feet with next to no time at all. She doesn't make a perfect shot-it's amazing she made any shot at all, much less a good one-so three more heavy attacks follow to alternating hips, not an easy hand position to cope with. Textbook composure on the attack.
They only end up losing the rally because they bump paddles in the middle and generate a mis-hit to the sideline. If you don't watch this in slow motion, you'll probably miss that moment.
I imagine they are keeping Jansen wide on the forehand to exploit her long arm from the Erne position. The opponents never make the mistake of testing that.
The white team ended that rally knowing they weren't going to win the match having to play defense to that standard of perfection.
Based on comments in this thread, the central exchange happened faster than most viewers have managed to process from a helpful camera angle, without having to move at all. It's a funny sport that way. Slow enough to fool people into thinking they can keep up, but actually faster than they can mentally process. Ping pong doesn't have this problem, because only a idiot thinks they are really keeping up. Everything sensational in ping pong really has to go back to the slo-mo cam after the dust settles.
Fantastic comment and response.
Insane. Back left just stood and watched
That girl was on fire!
A sharp angle would’ve ended this a lot sooner 😂
Right? It felt like the teams are playing each other, not against…
Hitting your opponent off the court. A basic tennis tactic none of these "world class" pickleball players seem to have heard of.
@@alkh3mysteasier said than done buddy
They lost it because the one on the right took over like it was a single match 😂😂😂
Watched it 3 times and still had me at the edge of my seat 🤣🤣🤣
56 hits from start to finish! wow!

Great athleticism ladies!!!!!!

Great snark!
A combination of a tennis & ping pong
How football is like arena football.
Wait until the Chinese learn to play this.
You won't believe how good they'll be playing ping-pong on the ground, not on a small table! 🤣😆
They do
Today, for whatever reason, I found out about this sport for the first time. I used to play table tennis in a club for years. Unfortunately I have osteoarthritis in both knees. Otherwise I would immediately look for a club where I could play
That one fan be like:
oh my god.
Twenty seconds later:
Oh mY GaWd!
Why was A. Waters poaching balls her partner had the forehand?
Why not? I think the idea of forehand before backhand is not always true, you don't need all your power to place or hit the ball cause it's a small court so of she had a good position why not playing the ball?
I have never seen a player poach with their backhand. Forehand you see all the time but poaching using backhand?
@@johncraig7548 well, that's the main idea of poaching, an unexpected move, right? Everybody is expecting the forehand to take most of the shots around the middle
That wore her out😢
Agreed... I would say... stay on your side or I'm walking off this court. Try me...
I feel sorry for the right hand girl's husband. She probably hogs up the bed as well. 😂😂😂
According to some other comment she’s only 16 so probably doesn’t have a husband
She was only 15 at the time, so no husband
What a rally, counted 56 hits!!!
Love, love this game!
The right hand side girl from our side.. She unnecessarily took shots which her partner should have taken... Her partner would have able to hit them harder and with more angle and hence win the point.... That's what I felt
well, if you stand in the middle in a doubles match, you are likely to lose. 😅
I mean, yeah... and I don't know pickleball(!), but they're playing at SUCH high level here, they must have some reason to believe this can work; i e., rebuttals to the usual objections to playing like this... I'd be really curious to hear their strategy discussions -- esp. because that's what ends up happening here! Their opponents finally get one out wide enough to the woman's forehand to get weak return that they can take advantage of. Boom. Your playing the middle did, finally, cost you.
That was intense!
Each team should have applauded the other team for such a long rally. That would have shown sportsmanship which is sometimes but not always lacking these days.
Pickle is not a sport. It’s a lovely game for people who can’t make it in tennis.
its large ping pong, its pretty similar but not bad sport, big ping pong is actually kind of fun, tbh Id rather play this than tennis
If you dislike it so much, why are you watching it? Butthurt because it’s becoming more popular? Well cry harder
I bet your unfit ass would pull a muscle just trying to serve.
Fortunately you’re wrong, stupid, and your opinion doesn’t matter
That was fun to watch!
Bro was on the other side of the court 😂
By the time this match gets over, Djokovic would have won Wimbledon 2023
And you will have done nothing
The tennis reject sport 😂
I was in the student lounge at my school and saw this on Bud Light TV. That was a hell of a transition.
Nice Set !
凄いなこれ!
Communication and teamwork has left the chat.
Exactly what I thought! I used to play doubles tennis, and when I ball came smack in the middle, it was important for someone to call “mine!” Or something so they wouldn’t collide and their partner could get in a ready position for a following return.
Girl in pink was everywhere she shouldn’t have been.
Wow. Unreal exchange.
Amazing !!
Go watch some actual tennis instead of this knock off game
Why the hate? Why do tennis fans feel so threatened and have to bash another sport?
Can't I watch and enjoy both?
@@seanwilson512 of course you can enjoy both but in my opinion this game is nothing special and I don’t get why people like it so much
@@seanwilson512not even a tennis fan but this is just silly lol, its glorified ping pong on a larger scale just not large enough to call be tennis, the only difference is the ball weight, a pickleball weights 10x more than a ping pong ball and you can fit 10 tables in one of these courts, funny coincidence
Tennis is boring. Either the serve is an ace or there is one return and the rally is over. Why do tennis snobs constantly have to comment on Pickleball videos and denigrate the game? Why are you so threatened by a fast growing sport and people getting exercise and having fun? If you don’t like it, just pass it by.
Why are you watching it?
Only fitting that the point was won on the one who failed "sharing" in kindergarten.
so in doubles do you play left and right positions or up and back positions
When you're in your 30s but want to excel at a sport so you pick one made for people in their 70s.

But yes nice long rally, 😮
In the MLP tournaments they use rally scoring, which means that you score a point after winning a rally even if you didn’t serve. They play to 21 instead of 11 because of this

@THEGOAT another ridiculous comment, thanks for the mid-week comedy 🙂
Is it easier vs tennin? absolutely yes without question. Tennis players pick up the game very quickly but still takes time to level up. The numerous statements similar to yours saying how easy it would be to beat these pros with little to no practice is laughable. Just proves you've never played.

Tennis is basically volleyball except you can’t jump and you have no friends
That's was awesome.
For all these haters commenting on how boring this match was, how boring Pickleball is, it makes them fall asleep, generally hating on it; if they dislike it so much, why are they watching it? “Gee, doc, my head hurts when hit it against the wall.” “Well, then don’t hit it against the wall.”
Unless you haters are looking for an insomnia cure, go away.
Wow, looks so fast
i believe there will be a rubber racket sometime to make a ball spin like tabletennis started on a wood
I guess the problem is not with hogging the ball... though it looks silly when you lose the point.
The problem is that you can be in perfect position and have all the time in the world and still not be able to put the ball away. This seems to be a feature not a bug of pickleball?
Where are the pickles?
Why is pickle ball so entertaining😂👏
Imagine running your partner off the court so you can return the hit yourself
