    This guitar is a beast indeed. Bought it after going through Switch, Ibanez, Dean & Jackson.
    The neck is so thin, the finish is awesome, the 24th fret is so easily accessible and the pickups..no comment ;)

    ESP sees to be the metal monster brand and this one in particular is very reasonably priced for a killer guitar you can take anywhere and go anywhere with..ive been researching like crazy recently and honestly I dont think any pickups can match the EMGs either. i'm definitely getting this one after looking at arrows, black metal, etc. Thanks for this video.

      I have This guitar 2016 model with jb/ 59 set with push pull. Coil split sounds decent but the metal tones sound a bit muffled. Any recommendations for a better passive set? I like blues classic and modern metal and clean stuff too

    I’m newish to the guitar. I have a Tele and as much as I love it, I don’t get the deep metal tones I want when I play. I’ve been looking for a solid guitar for heavier stuff and I think this one’s it! Someday I will get one of these but for now I’ll admire it from a distance! Great review! My favorite guitar is my ltd m-1000ht deluxe and as for the neck it's an extra thin u shape. Fastest slimmest neck ive ever played and I've played a ton, used to think thin c was my neck shape like on my shecters or deans but no this neck is insanely small and fast. Definitly check it out if you get a chance as esp Ltd's extra thin u may just impress you. My guitars are ltd m-1000ht deluxe, shecter omen elite 7, shecter omen elite, dean razorback, bc rich warlock, dean ml. Good stuff and good playing, happy shredding.

    I bought this same guitar last week from the guy I had sold it to some 10-12 years ago. A 2007 right before they changed the model to black chrome hardware. It still had the same strings I put on there some 10-12 years ago and the guitar sat in it's case for over 10 years but it still had near perfect tuning and the rod and bridge angle were perfect...rock solid! I owned a LTD Jeff Hanneman signature also from around the same years, these guitars are great!! I also owned 2 real ESPs and 4 USA made Jacksons but these LTDs made before the 2010s have a just as good quality build so they're awesome to play and they sound great too!!!

    My favorite guitar is my Fender Strat. I modded the shit out of it over the years which includes installing a Floyd Rose, installing Seymour Duncans and scalloping the fret board to name a few mods. To add to it despite having several guitars I have been playing it almost exclusively for the past eighteen years or there about so there is a lot of wear that just adds to it. Honestly that Fender just feels like home. The only other guitar that I have felt that much of a connection to is the LTD that I am getting from my favorite pawn shop with a couple other things. You are right when going from a guitar with a Floyd Rose to one without one it really makes you wish that it had one.

    This is the only electric guitar i own/have ever owned. My dad however, has a mahogany Les Paul that he bought like right after he graduated high school, so OG Les Paul. I always wanted an electric guitar but I got a lot of criticism from him. Finally at 25 years old I went out and made my own decision. I'm not very good but I really like the size, action, and look of this guitar. I love the sound and even though I'm not there yet, i can tell that it responds to all of your input, even my noob mistakes. But in a way that's better that it's so unforgiving, because it forces me to be better. I really like this guitar. It is a bigger learning curve than picking up a random Stratocaster that's for sure. But I'm glad I bought this one.

Same guitar, just ever so slight cosmetic differences. I love the guitar too. It has the best feel, easiest to play of any I've ever had. Paid like 1100 for it back in 2017 I believe. I did swap the bridge out for an original Floyd Rose not because I thought it was better than the 1000 series it originally came with because honestly there is no difference. I did it because the FR 1000 it came with was in some black chrome color and I preferred solid black hardware and I swapped the knobs out for solid black ones too. Cool guitar, do you know what the material of the frets are? When you record guitar, do you tune the strings slightly flat to compensate for them going sharp on the pick attack? I actually have an ESP The Mirage Custom from the 80's lol. It's my only guitar and it has passive stock pickups, so I'm curious to get another guitar with active pickups for metal. Do you play the bass too? I'm looking to get a bass at some point, to get more power into my riffs, haha. Do you prefer active or passive pickups on the bass for metal?

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  5 лет назад +1

      I really don't know the material, I just know it's the perfect setup for me. And I don't use any special tunings. Actually, I play with a lot less attack than most metal players.
      Bass...I have the LTD D5 and it has passive pickups. I'm happy with that.
      My advice for bass is make sure you have (or get) a 5 string. Those lower notes add so much more power in your overall mix.

    Hi Jason,
    I am an amateur musician and I play in a church. As you know church music is more of strumming and rhythm type of playing. But since I started guitar 18 years ago, I wanted to learn floyd rose I told myself.
    Until very recently, just few days back, I just bought a USD 1000 electric guitar. It is an ESP LTD M-1000 Ebony Snow White electric guitar with floyd rose. This is my second electric guitar and my first electric guitar cost me around 100 USD. It is 10 times the investment. I am not a full time musician, in your opinion, should I sell it or just keep it ? I just bought because hoping to get a good quality floyd rose and electric guitar. Is it a wise decision or it is a waste of money ? I am a bit regret for buying such a high end guitar. So total I have only 2 electric guitars. It is not a bad guitar but do you think it is wise to invest such a huge amount money to the instrument ? I am not Led Zeppelin or Malmsteen and I feel a bit miserable on this issue.
    Should I just sell my ESP LTD M-1000 Ebony Snow White and get lower range proper guitar like a fender strat or telecaster for church serving purposes?
    Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

      That's a great guitar so I say keep it! And don't let playing in church limit you. Branch out and add some licks and different styles in there. I actually played in churches most of my life up until a few years ago (too busy with my own music ventures these days). But I'd always throw in solos and just different things to spice up the music, and you can definitely do that as well!

    • @iduncanw
      @iduncanw 3 года назад +1

      I say keep it as well. I bought an LTD deluxe a few years ago - model names on LTD guitars are terrible to differentiate them, but generally the M1000 are in the same price range. I could barely play anything when I got it, but it's been so nice to learn on a great quality guitar that I play it more than I used to play my older cheaper one.
      Besides, the one you got looks awesome 🤘

    • @sureimhappy
      @sureimhappy 2 года назад

      I say sell to me, for real cheap. Lol. Just kidding.
      My advise is to get over the buyers remorse by playing it and becoming a better guitar player no matter what style of music you play or whether that particular guitar is good for your genre or not.
      Make it work for you. Peace through music

    I got mine used for 6 or 7. Great guitar, build wise. It feels and plays so so good. I would upgrade the bridge saddles and pins to stainless, because the hardware leaves much to be desired. My floyd rose was so rusted it snapped while doing a dive bomb lol. Sux that the most important hardware is still fairly cheap, as my sweat is very acidic and you cant always wipe your guitar clean and dry when you are out gigging in a band. So be careful of that. Otherwise amazing instrument.

    Does anyone happen to know if the LTD M-1000 with a maple fretboard is rare? I picked one up at a pawnshop that was in absolutely perfect condition last year, and I’ve seen very few with a maple fretboard. I assume LTD has some numbers of which types they built and sold... I believe mine is a 2014. Any help appreciated! My absolute favorite guitar I’ve ever owned by the way.... my next closest was an Ibanez RG 565 which I also loved. I had a Jackson dinky XL Pro that was also pretty nice.

    I've never played an ESP that didn't play like butter or an LTD that didn't punch way above it's weight class. But, I just can't, for the life of me, understand why the powers that be at ESP have kept the obscenely fugly 12th fret inlay. The only guitar that can display a script on a block 12th fret inlay is a guitar that has block inlays to begin with. I'm ready to drop $2K on an ESP USA M-II NTB FR but, it doesn't have dot abalone inlays.
