I don’t support that for school. Bullying will increase because of different beliefs, cultures, struggles in life, lgbt, and a lot. It will come more of a divide. Unhealthy. Agree church and school should separate. Everyone thought that 1900-1980 was better but it is not real. In the past still not a good treat to the people. All is judged. School all students are too young and never understand mature, judge with appropriate, respect, and others. The big problem is that parents are not responsible for discipline.
That area where Louisiana is in is in "Bible Belt" of America. Constitution said each state has their own freedoms in existing or enforcing their freedoms in addition to the federal government. This is why I'm not a Constitutionist but a Republican lending Libertarian. US dollar still says IN GOD WE TRUST. I disagree with this governor but I support his ideal.

Why did they teach the students at Sunday schools about Ten Commandments on every Sunday? At public schools, they should not learn about Ten Commandments because the people have their own beliefs based on their religions. We have free of religions in US. Supreme Court rejected with Kentucky for Ten Commandments statue and ordered to removed (I think but not sure) Ten Commandments was part of religion, not educational. Supreme Court will scold Louisiana and order them to remove That will be unconstitutional! State and church SHOULD separate, period.
Great comment. I want to add. Private schools, some are religious. Public isn't so your comment makes sense, yes. But some public school parents cannot afford private religious schools so how to educate kids about God that is mentioned on the US dollar?

I have nothing against the ten commandment which is GOD's law but... laws and rules created by unintelligent humans for those unintelligent humans, who broken the laws and rules by committing wrongdoing which is quite dumb and ridiculous.
The Ten Commandments as well as the Mosaic Law (Old Testament Law) has been done away with as Christ came and brought in the New Testament law. Man's laws will not be perfect as God's law. This is why it is God's law that converts the soul, not man's.
They always figure out where to put loopholes then they will amend or revise. That always happens. Law never stays the same more than a decade in most countries anyway.

The preceding and the chapters after clearly show that Christ ushered in a New Testament and the Old Testament including the Ten Commandments are no longer to be followed. We are under a much better testament and covenant.
