I have kept snakehead gudgeons and sleepy cod before. Many years ago. Super cool fish. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. That is a great shop. Old school. Run by someone who lives the hobby. Cheers Ryo.
This is beautiful. Especially the betta section. American pet stores are horrible about keeping that breed and there are even petitions now to stope it in some stores. Its amazing to see these stores, awesome video !
Love the videos when you visit some stores, those are my favorite! very nice to see how shops are in other countrys :D i'm from the smallllll country belgium in europe.
Man that aquarium store looks like a biotope enthusiast's dream.I would probably be having a field day if I were to visit that shop.I especially love the tank at the 1:01 mark because of how natutalistic it is.The fish at the 2:51 mark are Black Ruby Barbs and the gourami you pointed out appears to be a Honey Gourami.
Wow another amazing video Ryo! Thank you so much :) I love all your content, especially the Japan stuff :) I just realised that i stayed at a hotel only 2 minutes walk from this fish shop last year but did not see it ! Thank you for showing us, now i i can put it on my list to visit next time im in Japan.
Ryo-san, I'm going to Tokyo this summer from Washington, DC. Do you know if I can bring some medaka back with me on the plane? They are not invasive or endangered so they are legal in the US. Just not sure about Japanese customs. I enjoy your videos very much, makes me feel natsukashii of my grandmothers pond when I was growing up in Japan. Yoku dekimashita!
Great video and tour of this awesome fish store. I went to the Sumida Aquarium during the summer, was so close really wish I knew about this place. I was really excited to randomly come across the other aqua forest location in the Skytree mall that day though. Also I think that first really long fish you were trying to identify was some type of pipe fish maybe. The second one was a black ruby barb, really cool fish, I saw that fish for the first time this past summer in one of the aquascapes at the ADA gallery in Niigata.
Nice video. Thanks! Could you please give us some idea of the prices of fish and aquariums in Japan? Aquariums are expensive here in the UK but fish prices are not too bad.
You were right, the turtle is a Mata Mata. If I remember correctly it's the Spanish common name, since it's a predator, and "Mata" means "kills" in Spanish. Nice video!
Interesting to see so many snakeheads (we can't have them here in the US). I'm surprised to see pipefish in a mixed planted tank with other fish--they're notoriously difficult to feed. I'm really interested in those snakehead gudgeon gobies near the end of the video, since we CAN theoretically get those in the US. I'd love to know more about them.
It looks like a great store with an interesting selection of fish. Are African cichlids not popular in Asia? The selection you've shown in your store videos has been quite limited.
I saw them at my lfs today for the first time. Definitely gotta go back & grab some. Instead I bought some fish I dont even see, well not yet.(pygmy sunfish).
Ryo you gotta get some of those loaches!!!! Oh man loaches are my favorite ,I keep 13 different species and I have seen those you were filming but I've never seen them in person!! I would pay alot of money to own them.... Really cool fish I highly recommend you get some for your new aquascape tank???
I’m not sure if you checked out Kahala yet but you should if you haven’t already!! I believe they are located ➡️ 1388-5 Kamigocho Sakaeku Yokohama, their Instagram is @kahala_goldfish
Hi Ryo , Cool store . It's a shame the " snakehead " has gotten such a bad reputation here in the States . I think it's an awesome fish . Those white ones are beautiful .
So how quick can guppy’s reproduce? I’ve have 3 male/ 3 females in a 10 gallon for four days now. I understand it hasn’t been too long but I’m still curious.
Its of course not okay to keep an animal like this. its not ok to keep any fish in glass bowls. The fact, that the store does this, shows that they dont show any responsibility
Can’t wait to show you part 2 where you’ll see the owner play with his fish and some amazing feeding clips!
I can't wait ;) lol ;) go ahead :)
Buy xrp
Waiting for the Hart bro 🔥🔥🔥😂🤣👍
These fish look so happy, they're probably better off in the store than going home with some inexperienced aquarist
I didn’t notice the eel until I started editing 😱Looks like that little fish was the eels dinner..
Hahaha. Maybe the eel doesn't fancy the dried foods?
What kind of eel is that, did you know?
@@richardsangathappy Whats crazy is on the bowl it said electric eel! lol
June 9 2021 watching your Awesome Video
Waiting for the Hart bro so excited 🔥🔥🔥😀😀
I just copy paste it 😂😂😂
I like these perspectives, because the hobby differs a lot more then you would think between America and Japan
Thank you :)
Awesome video thanks for sharing 👀💗👍🏽
Awesome fish store 👍👌😊
I have kept snakehead gudgeons and sleepy cod before. Many years ago. Super cool fish. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. That is a great shop. Old school. Run by someone who lives the hobby. Cheers Ryo.
Thank you for watching! Really glad you thought it was cool :)
Wow this fish store is so clean and fish are well taken care off 👍
The Aqua Field staff really do a good job of maintaining all the tanks
Very good video and such good music too !!
Ahhh, I wish I knew this was here when I was in Asakusa! I was too busy shopping for knives in Kappabashi Street instead! Pretty cool store!
For some reason, "Oye Como Va" was the perfect soundtrack to this video. :)
oooh i love tours, so cute little shop , a lot plants, so tiny but it have all anything necessary
Thank you 😊
Love your videos. Being in America, it’s really nice to see fish stores in another country.
Check my video for the “plant wall” at about 3:16. It came out really nice!
Yup, just saw it :) looks great 👍
Hello buddy really enjoying your videos, you make the videos so interesting, plz keep them coming bud 😊💝😊
Really great store and another great video 👍👍👍
Thank you :)
Cool video
Your videos are very good :)
Thank you!
That store is packed! Beautiful fish! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
This is beautiful. Especially the betta section. American pet stores are horrible about keeping that breed and there are even petitions now to stope it in some stores. Its amazing to see these stores, awesome video !
Excellent work bro love you 😘
Tokyo Sky Tree?? I remember climbing to the public observation deck, over 40 years ago, when it was the Tokyo Tower.
Tokyo Tower still exists. Tokyo Sky Tree is newer and taller :)
Cherry Barbs are the fishes in an early tank you described
Cool... I like it
I really wish ricefish were as popular in the U.S. as they are in Japan. They are all around great fish but almost no stores carry them.
Love the videos when you visit some stores, those are my favorite! very nice to see how shops are in other countrys :D i'm from the smallllll country belgium in europe.
Hey ryo after long time nice video man 👍💯 keep it up✌️keep going man .......
Awesome so many tanks & cool looking fishes
Yup! Can’t wait to show part 2 :)
Wowloved your vedios inspire me to keep an aquarium again, nd so much amazed to see how LFS are keeping their whole tanks clean Cristal clear waters.
Thank you 🙏
This petshop is paradise 😍😍
It is! This store has so many things!
The store looks awesome, the eels look like they need a bigger place to swim around in though, they're so crammed in those tiny cubes
Lungfish. They can live out of water and in dried mud for years at a time
@@RyoWatanabee wow that's crazy, never seen them before :)
I held my breath when you touched the magnet on the worm holder lol
I really thought it was going to fall.
Haha lol. I didn’t pull on it so it’s alright
Love your tours , watching you from Las Vegas, Nevada 👍🏼
Thank you so much 😊
Amazing how much stuff and variety is packed into such a small space.
At 9.13 the fish was I think a Bitterling and it spawns in a swan mussel. Like your video's
Tugger
Edinburgh
Scotland
I love every fish store you visited they were all nice , I remembered u when i was in Singapore last week I visited some stores in Pasir ris.
Very cool! Thank you :)
More Japanese fish store tours always love their LFS there!
Thank you for watching :)
Nice work
Thank you!

Thank you for watching and I’m really glad you enjoyed it! Hope you visit aqua field next time :)
i love your fish store tours. I don't live in Japan, I live in the UK. But it's so cool to see the shops at the other side of the world.
Thank you 😊
Love ur vids makes me wanna go to Japan🙏😍 really hoping i can see u there someday😭
Nice
i like the bichir prehistoric looks if i ever start with fish again for sure i get that one !!
Yes! I love the endlicheri and delhezi bichirs
I want all the snakeheads and bichirs! Can't have snakeheads here in Ontario, Canada for whatever nonsense reason
Happy Happy New Year Ryo! The fish store is fabulous with a variety of fish! I love their bettas!
Happy new year! Yeah, those bettas were really gorgeous
There are so many stores in Tokyo I haven’t seen! This is one I have to check out!
Definitely try to go to Aqua Field the next time you’re in Japan :)
This is really cool. My wife and I are bound for Tokyo in the summer of 2021. I'm really pumped to check out some of the fish stores while I'm there~
Definitely do! I’ll have a few more fish store tour videos coming out for you :)
Ryo-san, I'm going to Tokyo this summer from Washington, DC. Do you know if I can bring some medaka back with me on the plane? They are not invasive or endangered so they are legal in the US. Just not sure about Japanese customs. I enjoy your videos very much, makes me feel

Cody Showalter right in the mall is another fish store. It’s small but amazing.
Thank you Cody!
Let's see part 2....I'm ready! 😃
I went to Asakusa Tokyo in June 2019 but i never saw any fish tour there .. T_T Zannen Datta ! Thanks for the Online tour !!
You got to search on the internet for fish stores near you :) thank you 🙏
Great video.
Thank you!
Great
"This is a Lung Fish... Super Lung" :D
1:19 Goldfish babies or babies of a wild Carp species
1:50 Long-snouted freshwater Pipefish
2:45 Spotted Piranha
2:53 Odessa Barbs
9:23 Rosy Bitterlings
9:30 Freshwater Mussel
Well done Ryo, nice tour!
Thank you so much for the help 😅☺️
The one is 2:53 aren't Odessa barbs actually, they are black ruby barbs
Nice video. Thanks! Could you please give us some idea of the prices of fish and aquariums in Japan? Aquariums are expensive here in the UK but fish prices are not too bad.
Please show all the small tanks they are nice
The rare gourami shown at 10:30 is a Malay Combtail (Belontia hasselti). Very good fish for a large blackwater aquarium.
Thanks!!
You were right, the turtle is a Mata Mata. If I remember correctly it's the Spanish common name, since it's a predator, and "Mata" means "kills" in Spanish. Nice video!
Awesome! Thank you so much. I learned that from watching Kamp Kenan
"mata" means "eye" in Indonesian. but "mata mata" means "spy". just saying. ok, you dont need this information 😅
Interesting to see so many snakeheads (we can't have them here in the US). I'm surprised to see pipefish in a mixed planted tank with other fish--they're notoriously difficult to feed. Show demais o aquarismo no Japão
It looks like a great store with an interesting selection of fish. Are African cichlids not popular in Asia? The selection you've shown in your store videos has been quite limited.
Yes! I haven’t seen many african cichlids too! I think most people are just into plants and community fish. I too am looking for some african cichlids
In the planted tank are Ruby Barbs... really under rated fish.. like a tiger Barb but peaceful...really colour up too when in breeding condition.
I saw them at my lfs today for the first time. Definitely gotta go back & grab some. Instead I bought some fish I dont even see, well not yet.(pygmy sunfish).
@@Pokehmongz you'll love them. Look really great in a planted aquarium. Mine get on with everything.
Thank you! I’ll get loaches in the future but not for my aquascaped tank!! I’ll think about it :)
Beautiful
Can you make more videos about ranchu, please :3
鱼养🉐️好靚…🇺🇸
When you do the tours, wear black. It reduces the amount of glare. Love your videos!
Thanks for the tip!
I’m not sure if you checked out Kahala yet but you should if you haven’t already!! I believe they are located ➡️ 1388-5 Kamigocho Sakaeku Yokohama, their Instagram is @kahala_goldfish
Is there any way to buy betta fish in the clip sent to Fuji?
1:44 pipefish
2:50 Black Ruby barb
10:22 looks like a blind cave tetra
Thank you 😊
Hi Ryo , Cool store . It's a shame the " snakehead " has gotten such a bad reputation here in the States . I think it's an awesome fish . Those white ones are beautiful .
Thank you 😊 yeah snakeheads are pretty neat fish. So many types and colors of snakeheads
Can I ask what camera lens did you use while shooting this vlog?
Hi, I just used the standard lens that came with my Canon m50 :)
Could you make a fish tour about system of filtration in an ornamental fish shop? Thank you, mate.
Usually fish stores just use sponge filters or matten filters
So how quick can guppy’s reproduce? I’ve have 3 male/ 3 females in a 10 gallon for four days now. I understand it hasn’t been too long but I’m still curious.
Just be patient. A few weeks maybe and get more females. 3 males to 7 females is good
What kind of fish were those at 11:00 ?, to me they look like some kind of Banded Barb. They are Not in my “Dr. Axelrods Mini Atlas” book.
hears japanese instruments version of that santana song
Hi Ryo, can you do an update of your mt.anubias tank? :)
This is mount anubias right now ruclips.net/video/9E6efpz6ToU/видео.html
nice vid! look for fish store that have Arowana and Flowerhorn eheeh thanks
When I visit singapore, I’ll have an amazing fish store tour with flowerhorn and arowana
nice Channa aurantimaculata and paludarium
That one is hexagon/Odessa barb I think so
Wow zero dislikes! As it should be :)
At a glance, the fish at ~3:00 look like red panda barbs. Or maybe regular panda barbs if the males have red heads regardless.
Great tour as always Ryo-Kun! I think the owner was also Ryo, right?
Yes! His name is also Ryo :)
I was surprised by the eel in the glass bowl. Didn’t know that they can be kept in it.
I don’t think it’s recommended, I think it’s just like how many fish stores keeps bettas in small cups
Its of course not okay to keep an animal like this. its not ok to keep any fish in glass bowls. The fact, that the store does this, shows that they dont show any responsibility
No filter in Japan=the rest of the world that hasn’t heard about artificial filtration
Hey Ryo what camera do you use? More power!
I use the Canon m50
I wish I could get a snakehead here in the usa....
No Koi fish? I love Japanese Koi fish🐟😍
I think there were some koi fish
🐰 thanks
Hey Ryo, can you do some japanese goldfish videos, thanks
Have you seen this one? ruclips.net/video/MYBhveKlg8E/видео.html
The eel went incognito mode
Yeah haha
I thought he said “this is a lung fish” and I legitimately asked “but why? It looks like an intestine” and now idk how to feel
do you know some plake that breed snake head
I feel sorry for fish that dont have any gravel or green plants ,I hope the lungfish go to good aquariums soon .
I like betta fishes
I like bettas too!
