Hair is protected and stretched, scalp is healthy and UN-traumatized, the style is Beautiful. OMG I LOVE this. I'm allergic to the fake hair normally used for a style like this, and to think I won't have to use it anymore. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Innovation at its finest.
I thank y’all (African Queens) have one up on the stylist here in the USA. Girl you better work with that 4c short full head of coiled hair. Slamming! Thee bomb! I’m so proud and well jealous all at the same time! If this isn’t a morale booster hairstyle! I would feel like I’m the most beautiful lady in the room! Miracle working hands, you have. I mean I cannot get over the fact of how natural this style look. Now that’s how you work with what God gave you!❤️

You have gained a new follower ❤️. I have been looking for these needle hairstyle as I remeber growing up in Zim this is how we learnt to do hair. My cousins were not allowed long hair but school holidays kwagogo they wanted to spice their hair so gogo would do all our hair this way.
My 3 year old daughter is very tender headed. I struggled French braiding her hair but since I found this video I have been able to do her hair without hurting her using this technique. Thank you so much for showing us this technique.
😮 wow so creatively beautiful. Whoever first thought of this is truly gifted. We can do a zillion styles with the hair God has blessed us with. Ladies be proud and make bold statements with your hair. Unless you are one of few who rather the same look everyday of your life.

Nice to see this still being done when living in Umtata,Transki back in 1979(omg)...ther was a hair shop that offered this....hair was completed in less than 1'!!!! The "treads" stayed neat weeks...and easily undone with with pulling thread by wearer...hair was left wavy and no breakage...."Cotton Wool" was used!! GREAT MEMORY LIVING in mama Africa!!!
@@evemafupa Yes This style/ technique seemed more gentle and protective of our hair grades.... I now use the braided wig selections purchased from Nigerian ...when not wearing my natural hair. Thanks for responding...''66'' from NYC
I do this to my girls all the time, didn't know others were still doing this as well 😁 Great tutorial, it will make hair days so much easier for many 😀👍🏾
Thank you so much for this information. My daughter has an extremely sensitive scalp and doing her hair in most styles has been torture for her and so stressful for me. I also suffer from rheumatoid arthritis so I can’t stand or sit for too long and my hands swell up so bad. I have now tried this sort of threading technique and it came out good enough for my 9 year old 😄. She only cried during the combing out of some mats but overall we both enjoyed the process and the outcome. The threading caused her no pain and we were able to achieve a neat cornrow look without the normal pulling and drama of regular braiding. Daughter loves the decoration of the colored thread. Thanks again.❤️
fascinated by the western name of this style "needle flat twists". My gran must have been way ahead because in the 80s she would do our hair like this for school. Kudala sibahle 😉
I’m excited to try this on my daughter. So happy I found your channel. I want to believe this is also helps in hair growth since the yarn helps pull oil/grease into the hair. I love this! So much healthier for natural hair not so much hair pulling. Love it! 🇳🇬
Eve, you have made the ancestors proud. Thanks for bringing back a creative style. Am watching you from US and amazing. I used to wear yarn styles back in Africa but not this one, but you even put your own style on it. That’s great.

If you use the knitting wool it does not but if you use the sewing thread it does. We always use the thick knitting thread. Hope that helps
