Breakaway was the song which established the Springfields, and deservedly so. I'm amazed that it hasn't been revived. It's a great song and brings back the summer of 61 as nothing else could, for me.

I used to play Breakaway / Good News over and over and over and OVER again as a little lad. Ah, the memories....

hadn't heard these songs since the early 60's,love Dusty's so sexy voice in Dear John, and Breakaway, she was an incredible talent,could sing any style,and sound so incredibly good,and like any teenager in that era fell in love with her.Thanks for the memories

I used to be so surprised when I heard that even the Americans thought that The Springfields were from The States ..... now I can hear just why!! Love all this stuff. Takes me back to my childhood.
