  • 2 Final singles with b-side from the folk/pop trio The Springfields (Mike Hurst [replaced Tim Fields], Tom and Dusty Springfield. Before Dusty split to solo success. She left because of her and Tom's creative indifference, she wanted to do motown/ pop he wanted to do folk. It worked out for the best in music history.

    This is the first Springfield record I've heard that has a hint of Dusty's voice sounding a bit R&B.

    It sounds like they were trying to be a beat group at this point. Given the way you describe the split, I wonder if Tom was also unhappy with the direction they were going it.

    i bought this double album in the sixties.
    lost it since!
    but is it available on c.d.? hardly?

      Dunno, but there are CDs like On an Island of dream, check out online store they will have it. Worth a gander.
