The villain mechanic is actually really useful. Often the most fed person on the enemy team is a squishy. If he is the villain, Garen can flash on him and just delete him, winning his team the fight. ( i mean seriously, flash aa q a bit of e and then R is enough and it takes about 3 sec.)

best thing with Garen especially for beginners is, that he is probably the least frustrating champ to play, I don't mean that he's fun to play all the time, but you really can't fall that much behind or be that much useless, even if you use your lane hard and thats because of his E and the villain passive. the villain passive is actually pretty good against someone who is fed but overextends to much (which happens all the time) and his E has great synergy with your ADC or any AD champ in the lategame, I mean with a Black Cleaver and armor reduction from E, they don't even need a Last Whisper. Garen is just allways usefull

Hi Bricky, the best lane trade combo is actualy: E-AA-Q-R. Because u shred his armor and let your Q deal waaaay more dmg. Nice vid btw!
But you can use your q while in e, for the speed boost, then cancel e and the next aa still triggers q
