This realy shows how profesional they are as musicians. They fully adapted to the drumming, even when he didnt keep tempo.
he kept it up pretty well tho, id be too shaky from nerves to play that song as well as i can at home in my garage haha

First time I ever saw them live was in san francisco when city of evil was maybe 1 month old. We waited outside to try and see if we could meet or get an autograph (this was before every phone had a professional camera in it) and Matt Shadows came out and met and talked with all the fans outside til 2 am and they were literally driving all night to get to their show the next day.
This is Miguel, the most humble guy I met while I was in college back in my days in PR. I am proud to still call him a friend today

What is outstanding about A7X, Is the fact he went much slower than tempo, and it fluctuated, but they adjusted with him. What an amazing band. props to the kid though, pretty amazing.

Avenged is so unique. I fucking love it! Hail to the king was an amazing tribute album no matter what people say! Arin's drums were so heavy!
Arin has plenty of talent, but i think they shouldve done something a little different with Hail to the King. a little faster paced drums, more bass, things like how Not Ready to Die and Carry On were. if only Arin stuck with that style. still a good album though

I'm not much of an A7X fan, but that kid's dreams came true that night. That was amazing. Big props to the bend for allowing him to have such an awesome experience.
That kid is a legend, because not only was he lucky enough to get picked, but he played that song amazingly, especially considering the pressure he mustve felt.

I'm really not a fan of A7X, I'm more a fan of metal (and don't tell me they are, they've played metalcore and now they're more of a rock band) but this was a really, really cool thing for them to do.

They're more of a classic metal feel sorta like Metallica but who's to say what they are I mean every album is very different from one another
THey are metal. They are certainly not the hardest of metal, but still metal. Metal is a broad term, with many sub genres, but is mostly characterized by ridiculously long solos (like Metallica trash) and thick riffs, as well as strong drum beats. Avenged Sevenfold may not be the hardest, but you cannot say they don't have these things, at least to a degree too much for rock.
Chris Hall Like I said, they aren't metal. Their first few albums were metalcore, and then they switched to a hard rock sound. Do your research before trying to argue with me. I'm not trying to debate genres, I'm trying to say that it was a good move on their part.
I know what the genres are, I just tire of people saying they are not metal.

Being a drummer, that is pretty awesome. As many of you said, it isn't easy to be plucked out of the crowd, not warmed up, no practice, no ear piece, unfamiliar set, so I think he did a great job. I just wish they had professional video of it. Green Day does the same exact thing, I always thought that was really cool. I would certainly be nervous, and I've been playing for almost two decades.
