That was good to hear the various tones among all the dial settings. I don't like it except for maybe one or two settings that sounded good, so this video helped me decide not to get it.
This person didn't understand or remember how to use the preboost with the gain so everything he played had lots of boost thus with gain then more gain and then more gain. lol. . I thinik the video was an injustice. Maybe they did know but people get so caught up in the gain and boost they always just keep turnign it up then funkin' with everyting around the "more" they just did. Every video does this sadly. Someone needs to demonstrate as clean a sound as possibl to then show tone sculping with the EQ,
I think the greatest failure of this product so far is that every promo or review video gets caught up in the boost and gain and can't go backwards. Someone needs to demonstate as clean a sound as possible without gain and the lowest boost. The boost effects gain the level could be lower. Then, show off the EQ capabilities which seem to be fantastic if it wasn't lost on every soul hynotized by gain and boost. Seems like the only target audience would be for 1 specific genre making this a very narrow target audience in music. This product could a the greatest utility box but wtf knows by the way its demonstated in video after video after video.
Yes, agreed. This seems to be an affordable Parametric EQ with all the knobs we need, but I want to work on the clean Sound of my guitar and then distort with my favourite Pedal. I am still looking for an equivalent for my Rocktron ProRax EQ 3 AS a Pedal, which could fill almost every amp and guitar with Magic.
Not sure why this is labeled as a “preamp”. Sounds like a high gain distortion pedal to me. A preamp that doesn’t start at clean is utterly useless as a preamp in my opinion.
Whats about the using of the volume level to get it clean? There are so many pedals are calling "preamp" like the Revv G3 ... and there is a difference in the sound of an distortion pedal instead of a preamp.

Sounds awesome and it have a 5 band parametric equalizer holy cows
there are many handles, the character does not change, it works only as a filter. The sound is very sandy, like the old Mostortion.

Can the pre-boost attenuate effectively lowering the input gain making this able to do clean or even low-gain tones? Thanks!
Seems to get fizzy at the top end if not careful. The graph EQ is quite useful.
How would you compare this preamp to say, a KSR Ceres or a Solar Chug?

Not a good demo as it only shows gain and distortion tones. What about clean and how well it works to sculp that tone and level?
someone get my man a looper pedal

I think it's a misnomer and they subsequently market it wrong. I've seen other demos of it going if front of a clean amp, it sounds much better.
It's a preamp because you can connect it directly to a power amp. As it's "high gain" I don't see point of what you say.
Why is there a bypass switch on a preamp? To get a tasty sound of a power amp without any eq or coloration? Do you see point in that though?
@@greedydotmfamt preamps have bypass switch for example, diezel pedals
Sounds very bad.
