Exactly. That’s that balance and honest perspective that a caring father will give. What I don’t recall is what Faith ever said. That was the ultimate disrespect and for someone to air it out publicly? Mr Garland says it best.

Listening to this segment especially, is why having a father is important.
Billy Garland is speaking the real. As much as we may say "Hit Em Up" is one of the greatest diss record, it's ignorant as hell, even if we say it was in the midst of "war."
We also have to remember that 2pac was young, so he's gonna do things that may not be right, but he has to experience, learn from it, and develop wisdom to pass along.
That's the importance of having a father to navigate him through his difficult patches and give him wisdom or encouragement.
The sad thing is, he didn't live long enough.

All is fair in love and war. Good or bad. We may not like it but hey. It was a great record, but it is synonymous to all of the music rappers make today. So we have to call all of that ignorant if that is the case. PAC just had a supreme affect on the world, which made it even more heightened

@@m.a6141 I'm not saying you're wrong entirely, because I understand how Pac may have felt during the situation. Why he went to war. Getting shot changes you, but that's not the perfect answer, because it only escalates things.
      That's what war does.
There's no true winners in war, just continued fighting and looking over your shoulder.
Billy knows all about that being apart of the Black Panthers.
It was mainly about Biggie and Puffy talking in the Vibe magazine. Then Puffy strategically dropping "Who Shot Ya" and using Biggie as a pawn.
2pac was ready to bow out and focus on other things, until all of that. Then you had Mobb Deep, Jay Z, and others getting in it, picking their side. He remembered about Wendy Williams saying he got raped in Jail and he had to write letters to little kids saying he didn't.
2pac was paranoid, on top of enraged, so he went to war.
He was raised by revolutionaries and read books on political leaders, art of war, etc... But he attacked out of emotions. That's the mother in him, and why it is important to have a father to tell you that you may not wanna go that route, think about it; balance your emotions.
Tell him about the impact of his voice, what to use it for, and remind him about his plight.
As Billy was discussing in this.
