Very cool! I have made my own video where I made a keyboard too. (admittedly it does use command blocks for the screen part, so yours is still very impressive)
You can also add a queue type system where you can save key stroke commands and let them out slowly so that you can input faster than the keyboard can handle
If your talking about adding that to the keyboard then:
Like I said in the video I thought about that and found out that it would just be slower for the user
Because think about it for more than 2 seconds if you used it:
You'd have to input a word, hope you didn't typo, hit send, it displays, there's a typo, you have to backspace it, then retype the letter, hit send again, just to fix a typo when really you could've been typing in real time instead of in a queue.
But if your talking about adding it to the side as separate input system then I deff should've done that for showing off the speed xD

It should be possible to reduce a lot the size and number of blocks since every position in the display uses the same characters, so you don't have to repeat the pixel storage at every position.
You could have one common pixel storage, and the keyboard selects which character it outputs through a common set of wires going to all positions in the display. Then use the counter to determine which display position rewrites its character from the common wires.
(As far as I understand, your display can already remember its character until a delete/reset signal arrives, and this should happen only in the current editing position)
Ok that's actually so smart now that I think about it, I'll keep that in mind for keyboard V4, and that'll also allow me to put in even more characters because I won't need to make it longer, I could just start stacking different character lines next to each other (Like Upper case, lower case, special characters ect.)

You need to compact it to where it wouldn't require NPC's to keep the whole thing loaded!
There's 2 commands I listed in my discord server under the world download saying that you don't need npcs anymore and can just use /forceload

I think that would be a tad hard just because of how big instant wire is, so I proby won't do that in keyboard v4 if I ever make a v4

Now make a stenotype keyboard to type EVEN FASTER than this keyboard.
That requires you to press multiple keys at the same time which isn't possible without queuing, so it would just be slower really xd

Why not just make it larger and fully instant?
2 Reasons:
1. Didn't want it to be too too big
2. I'm lazy and knew I was gonna make a V4 later that'll be the world's best redstone keyboard (Later as in proby a few months I'll make it around july)
