I've long since made peace that the Sonic franchise just isn't the thing I grew up loving anymore. I now just hold dear to my heart all the wonderful games and other Sonic related media that I had the blessing to enjoy. These new games aren't gonna be good and they certainly won't do it for me since the characters are no longer who they used to be, but I can still dream for that day when things finally change. Till then, I take with me what I've already learned. Cheers.

Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 ... zelda ocarina of time... majora's mask ... bomberman hero... pokemon red... fire red... emerald... pokemon diamond... platinum ... pacman world 2 ... frogger adventures 2 for gameboy... i had "the hobbit" for gameboy but it was too complicated for me to get into.. brother bear for gameboy... and tak and the power of juju for gameboy... crash nitro kart for gamecube... sonic adventure DX and 2 battle (gamecube) ... sonic heros... zelda windwaker... smash bros. melee... simpson hits & run for gamecube... kirby's dream land (Gameboy) ... mickey mouse (gameboy)... smash bros. (N64) ... sonic & knuckles (sega genesis)... Decap Attack (Sega Genesis)... played mario sunshine at McDonalds, and almost beat it later on the Wii... Zelda Spirit Tracks (Nintendo DS).... Zelda Phantom Hourglass (NDS)... i dont even play games really anymore... might hop on minecraft once every couple months to play with my brother and his/our friend Theo... might form more gaming habits soon but right now its slim...
this brings me back to being 7 years old, flipping through the pages of the extras section on the gamecube, flipping through the comics and instruction manuals, or watching the trailers for the other games over and over, wishing i could play the other sonic games so badly times seemed to carry more magic by then, by then i would have had some grand ideas about how things works, that everything is super cool
I never owned this game, or a ps2, xbox, or gamecube. But even still, this song reminds me of the good old days when I was actually happy and enjoyed life. I have countless memories of hanging out with friends and doing other things that I look back with a lot of nostalgia. I hope that things eventually improve but until then, I can listen to this on repeat and wait for it to happen.
Man how time flys. The ps2 was my first console and this game and ratchet and clank where my first games. I remember I would shift through the gallery and watch the videos on there and look at the comics for hours. And now in a couple months I’ll be a adult. A lot has changed since those times looking at my box tv. I was so young at the time I barely remember it, it’s like a pipe dream. Mannn... good bye childhood
