I'm an oldish metal head and I've been to see many S tier metal bands live, but I've never wanted to mosh as bad as during the Aurora concert when she played this.
Aurora is a unique artist with her own style singing great songs with meaningful lyrics about humanity and human minds. She is not in the mainstream music but has a huge fanbase. Please react to The River!

Aurora is a complete powerhouse when it comes to powerful messages, empathy and emotion. She's 24 years old, and from Norway. She's been doing music since she was very very young, never wanted to be an artist tho; she did it all for her own enjoyment. The lyrics are "you cannot eat money, oh no" you were close! Her vocals are INSANE live. I recommend All Is Soft Inside live @ KEXP. hope to see more reactions to her soon! I believe she's considered a solo artist, backed by an awesome band that has changed over the years. She produces her music btw! (of course with the help of others) but she really is a talent.

Very important! Welcome to the Big AURORA family. Warriors and weirdos. A family with neverending love to AURORA and all living thing on our only world, called Earth. AURORA is the three E's. Emotions, empath and expressions and storytelling wich is outstanding. This one is perhaps most important. But you have so much to react to. I hope you could coupe that. My first suggestion is Through the eyes of a child vevo stripped live performance. Aurora is special when she was 9 she wrote the song "lucky" and she also wrote music like 11 and 12 she just born with this lyrical talent.
The murder song 12345, live from Nobel Prize awards is a frigging awesome experience also. But even her early stuff like Running with the Wolves especially that video since it's so futuristic and scifi and ghahhh I just love her music and the esthetics of her vids.

Aurora is the best and this song is so powerful, the alarm going of about an issue that concern us all. Oh, there's so many good songs by her!! Queendom, Running with the wolves, Daydreamer, Animal, Runaway (that song inspired Billie Eilish to start doing music too!!) Aurora is phenomenal!!! Also, her covers are incredible too, God Is A Woman by Ariana Grande, Across The Universe by Beatles and Life on Mars by David Bowie, she nailed everyone of them!!

You can't eat money, oh no. The lady is incredibly unique. Try her stripped version of Through the Eyes of a Child to hear her voice really work. Aurora is the vocalist who inspired Billie Eilish to get serious about her work. At 23 she's 10 years into an amazing career.

Yes, it’s her. Aurora is a Norwegian girl’s name, but I guess it’s not as obvious if you’re not Norwegian. 😅 I’m always so surprised when I see someone react to a Norwegian artist even when they’re as popular as her or Sigrid.
Sigrid fan here. Watched some of her concerts and you can see in her earlier performances she is timid, unsure than developing into the confident performer she is today. Interesting that with RUclips, as a Canadian, I can see the development of a singer from Norway.

Great reaction 😊 Aurora is a solo artist, but she has great musicans that work with her. She's a 24 year old singer song writer and producer. What I understand is that she produces all her songs and music her self, but with some help from a select few people. Her music has been featured in a lot of tv shows, like The 100, Girls, The flash and many more. She was also the voice calling out to Elsa in the movie and in the song Into the unknown in Disneys Frozen 2. She has 2 ep and two albums. Her studio versions are great, but she is also one hell of a live performer. Great reaction! I just subscribed! AURORA Aksnes is the singer/songwriter, and she is also a producer and arranges the music for her songs! She has an excellent back-up band made up of very well-regarded musicians in their own right. I recommend checking out her live performances, which are incredible: her songs from the 2019 HAIK concert (which took place in a forest); the Nidaros concert in a cathedral with orchestra and choir; the KEXP concert in Iceland (particularly her songs "Church Yard" and "All is Soft Inside"), plus other venues.
My fellow Canadian I knew at some point you would find Aurora. All welcome the new Warrior and Weirdo. That is what Aurora fans are called. She is amazing. Her live performances are stunning and high quality. You reacted to this version of The Seed but her live versions are different enough you could easily react to each of them.
One thing you will notice about the video is that she doesn't really move her feet. Her lower body is pretty well in one spot like a tree with the upper portion moving.
Speaking of moving, when you get into her live stuff you will see a lot of hand movement. She really gets into the song. Her facial expressions, especially her eyes tell part of the story. When she first saw herself singing she was very self conscious of it then learned that it is part of who she is as a performer. It often feels when she sings she is somewhere else and at the end she comes back to us and realizes we are there. You can perform in a cathedral in Norway with an orchestra or rock the stage in Brazil, or have a small gathering at a radio station, she always amazes and entertains, teaches and makes us feel.

Aurora is single artist but has an amazing band working with her. Silja Sol, technically backup singer but in our eyes much more than that. An amazing singer with who has her own music and a fan base. Magnus Skylstad, drums, vocals, producer, been with Aurora from the begging if I remember correctly. Lets not forget Odd Martin who co-wrote several songs with Aurora and when they performed together it was simply stunning. He has left to work on his own projects.

The meaning of her songs has changed for her over her short life as she gains new experiences. She also loves that others take her songs in different ways. For me this song is about going theough depression and suicidal thoughts and getting through it without anyone ever know, something I think far too many people have to do and sadly not everyone makes it.
The River was written at 11? when she heard that suicide rates amoung men were much higher. It is ok to cry.
She is a metal head and gamer. Started learning the keyboard at, 6?, one handed since she had to hold the power button on. She plays piano, drums, bass guitar. Writes or co writes her own songs, produces and of course designs her own music videos.
She has a wicked unfiltered sense of humour that is delightful. She cuts her own hair. She doesn't like shoes and you can often see not wearing shoes when performing. At the Noble concert she is clearly barefoot. Her sister, Viktoria Aksnes, does here cloths. Her other sister, Miranda Aksnes, does her makeup She collects dead moths hence the cover of her album All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend.

I love this video so much. It’s like she’s Mother Nature or an earth goddess that’s writhing in pain with the damage we’re doing to her (her banging on her chest, the arrows we take to the sky, killing the birds, etc). In the beginning it’s like she’s begging for us to change, giving us warning after warning and at the bridge and the end she’s snapped. It’s at that point where we see her wrath and the hell she’s giving back to us ten fold. We see the darker images of nature (the rough waves, etc) and her dancing gets more aggressive, making us pay for what we’ve done to her. It’s really crazy the more you watch it Bc you can point out these types of things. In all of her live performances and music videos you can see her using her facial expressions and movements and dances to express the meanings and emotions of her songs. It’s so beautiful and wonderful to watch, especially since she’s been doing this for so long, starting at such a young age. I love her sm

She was on AGT the champions 2, earlier this year, with a truly remarkable rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. Also , if you don't mind young singers, you could look at the audition of a little firecracker Canadian girl named Roberta Battaglia auditioning in this years AGT with Shallow. She will become a major Canadian talent in the coming years.

Silja Sol is the owner of the harmonizing woman, but Aurora is the singer. Her name is Aurora Aksnes, and she's from Bergen, Norway.

You should try out anything live. She's just as awsome then. I would really recommend you to do The music video of "Running with the wolves" first, though, to get a little more feel of her. I know about Aurora for quite some time now, but I seemed to be able to miss this track until today! She is a force on her own. Man have you got something waiting for you. If this was impressive to you... yes it is a great track indeed with this massive message everyone recognises, but most of us turn their head away from.

This is one of the few songs of here that I recomend you to listen to the studio version. Most of her songs she kills her own records with her live performances. She is a great live artist, and her songs often change depending on where, and with whoom she is performing. She's an unique llive artist.
