I know it from my experience. But I discovered her in 1Q2021 on a reaction channel (somewhere between The Hu, Rammstein and a little of Florence and the Machine and some others:) ).
It was like: wow great song and unique voice. Lets check this second, random song. Oh it is also great but probably others are not so cool. Checking next ones: OMG love them all :). Of course for me she has great voice and she writes great songs but it was also something new/unique about expressing emotions (for some people it can be also a little strange at first). Also some of her live performances show how she can sing one song in different ways. A little later I discovered she has also different/unique personality and I need to add very interesting, genuine and positive personality (I think also idealistic) :).
Some other music (especially so called mainstream) looks a little artificial or a little faded in comparison with her music. Especially it is not so easy to put emotions and only some artist can do it. But of course it is very individual thing.

Thanks for getting back to Aurora. She is one of my absolute favorites and this song is great. For other songs by her, I would suggest the official music videos of Queendom and Cure For Me. Both are wonderful songs and have great messages, as well. If you want to treat yourself to another version of this song, check out the recording here on RUclips of The Seed from the HAIK documentary (the whole documentary is great, by the way). She is performing in a forest in front of a small audience and gets a surprise herself during the song. (Even if you don't want to react to another version of this song, I think you would enjoy it on your own.)

What I find amazing is AURORAs lyrics, message or purpose of her songs.
From this song to Apple Tree to Cure for me. Fighting for change. Fighting for the chance to allow change. Fighting for the change to be inclusion instead of exclusion.

Aurora is pure Gold Dust such a special artist forget your mainstream rubbish that churn out the same old cliches and lyrics Aurora makes you think deeply about life and the world we live in she writes lyrics that are truly a medicine for everyone, her songwriting ability is outstanding to be writing songs from the age of 9 that are breathtakingly beautiful as well as emotional thoughtful shows how special an artist she is and how tuned in with life she is you could react to any of her songs they are that good but if I were pushed to choose one it would have to be a song called Lucky a song that she wrote at the age of 9 her live performance of this song at the nidarosdomen cathedral will move you beyond words.❤️

The thing is, we all CAN have her tenacity and passion. She admits she isn't perfect when it comes to her environmental footprint, but she is conscious of it and cares deeply about the planet. She's empathetic to our planet's plight and the damage humanity is doing to it. Therefore, she does what she can. Have you noticed how most of her clothes are from vintage resale shops and she re-wears the same clothes often? How she's a millionaire, but her apartment is small and AFAIK she owns no car?
Being conscious and empathetic is what we all really need to be... because those are the two things that can create change in ourselves, our own actions, and eventually inspire change in others. We don't each have to be perfect, but we do need to start moving in the right direction.

Through the Eyes of a Child. But also, for some extra context, the game Sky used her music for an event a couple months ago. The Seed was used in a scene depicting a battle that devastated the game world. It was immediately followed by Through the Eyes of a Child to show the aftermath. There are clips of these scenes from the event online if you want to see. So haunting and beautiful.

Hello, AURORA's songs always have a strong message. But mostly only for a certain part of their fans. Often the messages are not very clear either. They can be interpreted so that many people can relate them to themselves.
This song has the strongest message. A clear message. And this message is addressed to all people on planet earth. That is what makes the song so different.
By the way, the melody is fantastic. So soft in the part for nature and so hard in the part with the message. Very impressive. Masterly.
"We are burning our fingers - but we are learning to forget". Usually when we burn our fingers we learn that the fire or the stovetop, are hot.
Aurora sees it differently. Is she really right? Then humanity lost.
    Thoughtful greetings from Germany

LOL the fact that so many people think we're taking responsibility for our actions is to a large degree the reason why nothing at all happens on a level that has any effect at all.

    • @dmwalker24
      @dmwalker24 2 года назад

Taking responsibility really has to be followed by not continuing to do the things we took responsibility for. Humanity is failing to follow through on that 2nd step in spectacular fashion.

I missed this one when you uploaded. The 2nd verse of this song is a contender for best English lyric I've ever heard. I can understand liking the life that some of us live, but unfortunately most of us don't live that life. If all 7.9 Billion of us did, we would have already exhausted the resources of this planet. Regardless, we're all going to run into that brick wall together very soon.

And if you're interested in more protest songs (though it's not by her), you should try Black Snakes by Prolific the Rapper and A Tribe Called Red.
