Enna oru combo.....vella adai & urugadha vennaiyum......ninaithale inikum.....
Frankly.... I would wait for Karadaiyam nombu amma.....my daughter as well..... both of us would be always excited as the auspicious day approaches..... for many reasons.....
My daughter loves to draw kolam on the perumal sannithi, decorate with flowers, arrange everything needed for the poojai, tying the sharadu., paavadai sattai.....& finally for the " Adai....vella adai & urugadha vennaiyum....."
My son,who usually doesn't appreciate many of the traditional receipes..... exceptionally loves this combo......
As for me..... its creates an emotional bonding with my aathukarar & vice versa..... because of its significance
So, Karadaiyam nombu is very special to all of us.......
As for your preparation...... I feel like gobbling up the Vella adai & butter...... the propotion for uppu adai is exactly the same way as you do....
