    Thank you, Damian! I have been inching toward the edge, but you convinced me to take the plunge. I have got to take this one man kitchen table spice blending operation on the road, and I might as well head for the big stage of online sales.
    As a Chef transitioning to a parallel industry in order to care for a loved one at home, I have to take a real shot at making a living at this. You sharing this good stuff is inspiring to guys like me. You come across as a decent man with a good heart and a good head on your shoulders. You are also a remarkably effective teacher. I dont know what is more impressive, your good-natured passion to share, or the quality of what you know. A tip of the hat to your wife, as well. Best of luck to you and your family, as well as your spice business and RUclips channel. You all rock!

      I'm so grateful to come across your channel. It is really encouraging for me since I was currently looking for an item that I can sell from home. Believe me, I had no idea and concept or whatsoever of a home processor. Spices it is!!! Do you know by any chance if I can also purchase spices from overseas and repackage them to sell? I was wondering if I can add a couple of unique spices to my collection. Or do you know where I can get more information in regards to this? It will be greatly appreciated.

    YOU MAKE THIS SEEM POSSIBLE, AND HAVE ANSWERED SO MANY QUESTIONS!
    I AM READY! START!
    The LLC & Licencing was the part that held me up before. Knowing what I need in Florida, is it a Cottage Business, where do I go for help on Legal Stuff.
    MY MAIN QUESTION IS, HOW MIGHT I GET WITH RELIABLE SUPPLIERS, PACKERS THAT WILL HAVE THE SPECIALIZED GUARANTEES, LIKE GLUTEN-FREE, KETO, WHEAT FREE, NON-GMO, etc. I grew up on McCormicks & have stayed with them my whole life, because I understood that their basic spices were Organic, tho not labeled. They used to carry Spice mixes that were Gluten-Free, but I can no longer find them. I think they were ahead of their time! I have noticed that McCormicks now has an Organic Spice Line, so that might be my best best. So why reinvent the wheel? Any Suggestions?
    I guess first, I should start with a good name for my COMPANY!
    Thank you for the Encouragement! I will look at your page.

    • @MarketingFoodOnline
      @MarketingFoodOnline  3 года назад +2

      Thank you for asking if you're using glass jars yes you're right it does give it a very high class appearance but there are a lot of drawbacks when you are beginning to ship as far as logistics are concerned the potential damage also the heavy weight adds to the shipping costs and the chance for it to break is much higher so I personally would recommend something of a crystal clear PET of a plastic bottle those work out very well it's a certain type of plastic but I would definitely check those out

    My two cents - Spice business is not a piece of cake to do and a great level of knowledge required for the same. Example - you should have a knowledge of toxin levels, chemistry and other expertise to check like aflatoxin, myotoxin, salmonella bacterium, iridiation and many more things are there. It is a lucrative business like any other but please do not step into the same without gaining a good knowledge. Best wishes to all 🙌🤗

      You could say this about anything. “Don’t start a restaurant cuz you could kill people.” The concern you mentioned is highly overstated. 1) use reliable sources
      2) dried spices are quite safe.
      3) spices that have gotten wet and have become unsafe are pretty easy to spot and smell.

    • @royalgujjarbhai
      @royalgujjarbhai 3 года назад +1

      @@Papadoc1000 your restaurant statement is exaggerated and it shows your lack of awareness about the subject! Of course, all should buy from credible sources so does that guarantee the quality? What do you mean by dried spices are safe? Are you serious!! please take a glance at the fssai manual 2018 latest standard version, EU regulations, and USFDA. There is a distinct food category code for whole and Powder products of the same thing like Coriander whole and Powder. The testing provisions are appropriately formulated for whole spices. I simply wrote that until u have knowledge about the business don't burn your hands and you are indirectly saying go ahead it's safe... please do proper homework boy!!

I was also wondering if it is against RUclipss stringent rules to advertise my seasonings on my own cooking show. I am also in the process of refurbishing my seasonings to go into plastic bags instead of bottles to help cut shipping and handling costs, as I can slap a postage stamp on an order and be done with it, without passing along the cost of that to the customer, thus lowering the price of my product while still enjoying a decent profit margin. My supplier has confirmed that he can sell to me in bulk, just need the cost per ounce for a gallon...etc. Please share any links you may have on some of your content in marketing and selling on etsy. Hi Damian! Great content ...as always!! This one in particular is one I am VERY much interested in. LOL I have two questions. First question; As a cottage food operator, in California, can I buy the spices in bulk, place the spice in a recommended food grade bag/container, sealed and place MY logo on it for selling purposes to the general public, NOT ON LINE right now. I don't have a commercial facility yet to do that in. You mentioned that in your video. I just wanted to make sure that would be ok. Next question; I like the containers and I would also like clear packaging as well. Would you recommend clear packaging for the spices as well? If so, who would you recommend? I already use Uline and like their bags. Thanks Damian! Huge fan and supporter of your channel.

    Hi thank you so much it’s very informative. Question, what is the best way to store the ground spices so that it stays fresh longer? I’m living in a tropical country where it’s 30*c throughout the year and ground spices didn’t last very long on shelve. Thanks

    What about expiration dates? how do you go about that.. since one is just mixing together bulk spices to create their own blend?

      Hello Debbie
      thanks for asking when it comes to "labeling " or "naming something premium it is up to perception. There are numerous organizations that "Claim" to be certification process. These have criteria that must be met or standards they have in place to call an item Premium, or Special or grade A but at the end of the day many people call what they want because they can....
