About This Release:
Remastered for 2014, the classic Berlin Breakdown version of Annie's "Anthonio". Featuring in the new Adam Wingard movie "The Guest", this release also includes the previously unreleased instrumental version.
Annie is Anne Lilia Berge Strand, alt-pop icon since her Madonna sampling debut "Greatest Hit", though "Chewing Gum" and "Heartbeat" (Pitchfork's single of the year) to 2013's celebrated "A&R" EP.

Does anybody know music like this? I listened to Annies songs, but they didn't have the same dark and moody feeling...please help?

+Honghu Well... dark and moody but not necessarily the same style would e.g. be Portishead (older albums), Massive Attack (again, mostly older things) or Sneaker Pimps.
You could also try the Strangewaysradio podcasts. It's a mix though and so there's also quite a bit of upbeat stuff.

+Honghu If you like this kind of candy, gothic, moody goodness then you might also like This Mortal Coil. They're a bit darker and a bit less sweet but well worth it.
Nightcall by Kavinsky... has a similar sounding bass synth and really blissful female vocals in the chorus.

What's this genre called? Like the 80's retro synthy beat music? I love The Guest and Drive, along with their soundtracks, but I need more music like this song ASAP! :)
it's a subgenre of electronic music, like synth wave or something. anyway, try channels like newretrowave, maniac synth, luigidonatello and such. or just search kavinsky or electric youth and go with the links

Interesting how people differ in opinions. I also came here after seeing The Guest. It was an ok film, but left so many unanswered questions. Drive, on the other hand, is one of the best films I have seen in years....

Tommy Dempsey Yeah there are a lot of unanswered questions indeed, but that's part of this movie's charm ^^ Too much explanations kinf of kill the alchemy of cinema as you can't put nothing from your own inner universe. And all the important questions are answered. I just watched it again, and there is not one thing I'd change :D
