We have a similar store chain out here in California called Grocery Outlet. I am not ashamed to say that some of the best wines I have had have been under $10. Cheers!
Great question! It's only made from grapes but it's very common to describe wines with other fruits. Fruit descriptors help other people understand what aromas and flavors you are tasting.
@@MexicanMaga I'm not too versed in the exact chemical science, but during fermentation there are volatile chemical compounds called polyphenols, which can produce different smells. For the green apple taste, I'm referring to the malic acid which gives the wine the tartness.
Fun video. Aldi has great wines. Especially when you get into the 15 to 20 dollar range. It’s a little easier to buy from there because the selection is small compared to Trader Joe’s and Costco. I loved the Cotes Rose but I agree it’s is more robust than the Pinot Grigio. I go to California wineries a lot and their wines hold up well for a fraction of the cost. Thanks for posting.
No offense but since when CMS Level 1 and Level 2-failed person can call oneself a wine expert or Somm.. it's like a medical student who didn't pass the exam is calling oneself a doctor. You are not an "expert" or "professional". Just an enthusiast. Should not lie to the audience with the fake title.
Thank you so much for this! I am trying to get into wine, and Aldi wine is really fascinating.
You're welcome!! Yes I was very surprised by Aldi wine. It just shows that there are good wines at every price point.
I'm really new to wine but I really love your content so far and presentation style!

Always love a good bargain wine 😄
Aldi just came out with their new specially selected wines, would love a review on those!!!
you said that one of those wines tastes like peach and green apple? Do they add different fruits to the grapes?

@@TheSommNextDoor ok.. but why does it taste like peaches and green apples? That's what's confusing to me..
@@TheSommNextDoor is there a chemical or something that makes them have that apple flavor?

@@TheSommNextDoor do you think the bees that pollinate the the grapes bring in different tastes from other plants ??
I really think it depends on how big of a wine snob someone decides to be.

Yes such a pleasant surprise! I will have to go back again
"Should I dump it you guys?" I really felt that 😭
Haha it hurts me to waste wine 😢. And I didn't make any of my friends drink it. Decided that would be mean, especially if they watched this video 😆
Pls do more! So funny
Thank you!!! I'll keep a look out for more budget wines.
They have a cabernet savignon from napa for $17.99 that is outstanding.
I will have to check it out! Maybe in an Aldi wines Part 2
What about wines from Dollar tree?
That second wine you tried might've been bad altogether. That color wasn't exactly appealing, but it was a rosé so I don't know...
hmm remnants of ketchup and mustard sounds interesting in a wine even tho i enjoy those condiments by themselves
Maybe it would go great with a hotdog 😂
I love this som…..She actually tastes stuff, instead of spitting it out…
Yeah this don't exist in Pennsylvania. You want wine, you gotta come to Sheetz or a Fine Wine and Good Spirits store.
Maybe you can make a sangria out of the rose wine.
That's an idea!! I typically use the leftover wines for cooking or to make a red/white wine vinegar
