I was lucky to be a guest in Paul and Rebecca Whitewick's new video, as I located two springs further upstream from Seven Springs, adding to the Thames source dispute.

6:15 Minor correction - it’s not the A345 it’s the A435. I’m not trying to be clever I just thought it might help if someone want sto check out the area on google maps 😊
Thank you for a great video, Tim ❤️

@@timtube1663 No worries 😊 I’m the local authority highway safety inspector for that area, so the road numbers are burned into my memory lol

Looks like you probably passed close to Mike Newman's estate...small minded. Very true about the basic grasp of Latin in Corinium.

My school geography lessons told me that the source of a river was the source at the furthest point of flow from its estuary. On that basis, and given that its a permanent source Seven Springs wins and the Thames is longest. Wonder what was behind nominating the other one, as it doesn't seem to have much going for it.

I think it's better to keep it secret. Or relatively secret. I haven't even been there yet but I BELIEVE it IS the true start of The Thames and is a place of occult sacred power, the good sort. Keep people in lycra doing fund raising sports challenges away, the muddy puddle will do for them.
