Routemaster Ride Up The Strand!
Просмотров 2837 месяцев назад
Enjoy a ride up The Strand through London's West End onboard an iconic AEC Routemaster bus (RML.) The T15 bus (sharing part of the route of the standard 15) is operated by a private company not affiliated with TfL, and costs £2.50 to ride the route. This is possibly the best £2.50 I have ever spent offering great value for money considering the standard bus costs £1.75! The company that operate...
Ifield to Gatwick Airport - In search of nostalgia
Просмотров 958 месяцев назад
In 2002 I moved to Crawley to start a career on the airlines. I lived in the Ifield suburb of the town in a small flat. Travelling regularly from Ifield to Gatwick, London Victoria, London Bridge and the other way to the south coast, I admired the way the Ifield district (on the north side) and Gossops Green district (on the south side) wrapped around the station. From my flat I could hear the ...

Blustery Crosswind Landing Into Birmingham Airport on Jet2 Boeing 737-8MG G-JZHU

A blustery crosswind landing into Birmingham Airport UK (BHX/EGBB) on runway 33 inbound from Lanzarote. The shaky camera is simply from being tossed around a bit in the wind and there was some ice frosting on the inside of the window so apologies for lack of clarity at times! This was by no means a scary or dramatic landing, just a strong westerly crosswind and a defined 'left yaw' on touchdown...

Id fly to the UK from the NZ to just hear these in person honestly as we had the same motor traction sounds on the ganz-mavag EMUs here from the 1980s (im 26 now) but they phased them out 2010+ and when I listened to this sound or videos of the ganz-mavag it would unlock core memories of my dad taking me on the trains as a kid. John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. My school geography lessons told me that the source of a river was the source at the furthest point of flow from its estuary. On that basis, and given that its a permanent source Seven Springs wins and the Thames is longest. Wonder what was behind nominating the other one, as it doesn't seem to have much going for it.
