Vivek Chouhan Thank you very much for your kind words! I went with Indiahikes and it cost me 9500 for the trek. In October, expect a very cold weather on the high altitudes, especially on the pass. The views will be clear and beautiful though. Good luck!

Vivek Chouhan I don’t think you will find snow on the trail at that time unless it snows fresh which is a very less probability. If at all it snows it might be around early November.

nice vlog , but may i advise you on video graphy a bit . you are panning the camera way to fast and as it is on 30 fps it will b e jerky. So next time be as slow as possible so that viewers may enjoy the scenaries . People do pan fast to get as much scenery possible to save up on memory. But then you loose quality. i would recomend a gopro 7 camera which is small and has very good image stabilisation., in all axis , rugged , wateer and weather proofetc. this will make videography a pleasure. Also a go pro is easy to charge and a good battery bank can last for 5 charges. I am a profession a underwater photographer. cheers!

radha ramanan Thank you for your feedback and suggestion. I had noticed the problem and had changed the way I shoot my videos. You can see my Kashmir Great Lakes Trek for it. Though I have been considering buying GoPro because of its image stabilisation for long but I wasn’t sure about its battery life. Still I think it’s time to get it. 😄 thank you!

@@ShailySingh welcome , The gopro is more than enough for youtube . I will show a method to make ur videos sharper . Shoot on 4k and down convert it into 1080p and you will get fantastic results. As more detail is recorded in 4k. The same detail is not recorded in HD . There is no limit to make your vidoes look sharper ,more colorful , contrasty etc as you can go in for the sony rx100 series But you have to be carefull to not knock it .
The gopro as you said has a teen weeny battery. But you can take advantageof that weakness by charging it quickly. Good battery bank can easily charge the gopro 4 to 5 times in my experiance. Also may i suggest that there are flexible solar panels that attachto you r back pack that can charge the battery bank as well when you trek .
I f you have any doubts about video graphy and electronics i can help . i admire oyur fitness , ican only dream of treeking at 14000ft alti !!
I am preparing to to do an overland trip on a SUV along thre coast ie kerala , karnataka goa etc.

i did see the kashmir great lakes video and there is still the jerky panning movement . I find there are 3 things that add to your woes. One is fast pannng , two -low frame rate, three- zooming in exagerates fast panning . It could be ofset by using a wide angle view. and having active stabilisation , like a gyro stabiliser or electronic image stabilisation like the go pro . The electronic stuff has really come of age in the hero 8 black. but the disadvantage withthe gopro is that you cannot zoom. well we cant have it all, can we!

Do any kind of permits needed for this trek that your guide has taken on your behalf ! Pls share :) appreciated

M H MOHAN Thank you! This was my 3rd trek. 😊 To answer your questions, 1) the camps were great and sleeping bags were provided which were quite good. You can wear a sweater or a fleece while sleeping if you feel extra cold. I did.
      2) The temperature during the day was warm on lower altitudes but as you go high it gets colder. On rainy days even more. So carry good warm clothing to protect yourself from the wind.

Rajeep Bhowmick All the very best for your trek. It’s a moderately difficult one. Summit day will be slightly difficult. Run for at least 3-5 kms everyday and try to do 5km within 45 mins. This will give you the stamina to climb without getting much tired. Also climb stairs 2 floors ten times and then 3 floors 10 times to strengthen your legs. Do 15 squats three times as well. I don’t have a video but I think I will make one now. But do these mentioned above and you’ll be fine! Enjoy!
