I Created 7 Orc Teams and had them Fight to Control Middle earth

So the reason that blade sharpener kept running away all the time is because orcs have secret traits that you cant see in the army menu, but using cheat engine you can see these hidden traits, and one of the hidden traits is called "terror low health" which makes a captain retreat when their health reaches a certain point and it has a bunch of different levels like low health 1, 2, 3, ect. This determines how low their health has to get for them to retreat. Since the blade sharpener was retreating at like half health I assume he had a really high level of terror low health, which is really rare as most captains will have a level 1 or 2 if they have it, which will make them retreat around 10 to 25% of their max health. So he must have had a level 4 or 5 terror low health, which is really rare as it is usually reserved for orcs with the "who flees" title, and the higher levels get drastically rarer compared to lower levels. Plus you mainly see this on low level orcs so late game or end game orcs almost never get such a high level of terror low health.
Other hidden traits include most special attacks captains use like the headbut suplex move and the defenders shield bash attack where they pick you up with their spear and slam you on the ground. And the paint, like red paint, gold paint, green paint, and the armor color changes you see on frog blood, the red, the blue, the brown, the regal, scorpion, ect.
So basically,
Orcs have hidden traits and that blade sharpener had a rare hidden trait called terror low health, that uses its own leveling system and thats why he retreats when he still has lots of health.

Shield bearers are always top tier. Berzerkers with a shield are even better. Bagabug the Stormbringer is the best 1 v 1 orc in the game. Ironically it is only a non berzerker shield bearer that will beat Bagabug. When he enrages the other orc will block his string then counter hit with the shield.
