- In this video I ponder the possibility of acquiring this gorgeous Guards Red 964 Targa.
My friend, who is the owner, has kindly allowed me to keep it for the weekend so I can make up my mind.
There is no doubt that I love this car. How can I not like a 964?
But like all old cars it also has several issues and flaws that I must highlight in this video.
Join me as I talk myself through the thinking process of buying this car or not...

great video and nice looking car. Seems like it drove well. since it's a manual and unique targa, worth trying to get. noise from targa top is slightly annoying, but probably can be resolved. appreciated your analysis of cats, engine management etc. well done! hope you feel better.

Ultimately I decided not to buy the car yet. It just didn’t feel sporty enough for me, but that could be due to old suspension components. Either way i am too swamped with other on going projects to be able to buy another project like this one.
Why do some of the 964 targas have the 3 louvers by the targa emblem like the previous gen? My 1990 has them but I noticed most others dont

not sure krub. it depends very much on condition of the car.
I think if targa with good condition roof should be more quiet
