I really like the Fireteam. It was my first non Traxxas RC and what led me to get rid of all but 2 of my Traxxas vehicles. My collection is much bigger now and has brands from 10 or more manufacturers. Of all the rigs my Fireteam isn't the biggest, fastest, or best handing and is far from most expensive but it's the best combination all around basher i know of.
Try shimming the hubs, too much slop out of the box puts a lot of strain on the bearings. I needed to add shims to every corner and 2 corners needed 0.4mm which is a lot of lateral load for even a good bearing.
