St Peters Church Clock

St Lukes church Cradley Heath was due to be demollished.This news spead round the local community and soon James Brookes from St Peters Church Cradley was told that the blower for the organ and the clock could be rescued before demolition. This is the story of the rescue and installation of the clock.

Great to see some history been saved there, Our city town hall was pulled down and there were stories that the full clock was scrapped when it was pulled down, in 1963. But something was setup in the local shopping centre 30 years ago, which was stated to be the original working of the clock. But those have since went away again, and no one knows where they have now gone. The council have recently built a new city town hall, that replaced the current one, if they had any sense they would have set the workings back up there. but i have sneaky feeling that they just sold them on, when they moved the workings when they did the shopping centre revamp back in 2000.
