I found this information very useful, however, I was distracted by the reverberant room tone in the sound. You might consider filming videos in a smaller room with a lower ceiling and carpets on the floor. The sound won't echo as much then.
I've actually regained 56lbs since my sleeve in 2017. Ive unsuccessfully tried & failed at losing significant weight. I'm considering keto or reset. Any advice?
I'm in the same boat.. I have re-gained 40 lbs now and it's harder to get off. I moved states but decided to schedule an appt with a known surgeon here who also has non-surgical weight loss programs.. I figured they could give me the best guidance since I'm a bariatric patient and they can suggest what to do.
@@gbrieannful so i saw a doctor last week, and based on my height and weight, he said to stick with 1500 calories, eat 100g of protein a day and stay below 100g carbs a day. Programs like this usually consist of some sort of weight loss pill, to help get appetite under control. I was prescribed saxenda, and had issues with insurance. Same with contrave. At the moment, i decided to just forgo pills to see how i do. I go back in 4 weeks for a weigh in. In october and november im going to meet with a fitness counselor and nutritionist that is on his team. I have been struggling with the diet portion because i was restricting so much that id end up going completely off the wagon and saying “eff it”. Theres some stand alone clinics that are usually $100 a month and they can do the same thing. A doctor is in house to prescribe a weight loss pill, you do follow ups weekly, weigh in, etc.
Hello dr, please advice me what to do if my weight stopped since months...... And I gained 4 kg in 2 months! I know I started to eat sweets and junk food! Is that the reason or my sleeve just stretched because I use to over eat all the time 😢
Yes, the reason why you have gained weight is because you are likely eating too many carbs. Check out this complete guide to bariatric nutrition for more information: bcofa.com/guide/complete-bariatric-nutrition-guide/

So glad to see your message cause that's what has happened to me. Surgery was in 2012 weight 240 my lowest. I got down to 140 looked like a Crack head. After I got to solid foods. Went crazy with the BOOZE. And did not stop drinking now I have gained 40lbs now I'm leaving the BOOZE alone for a good while. Just started IF. I still do a low card life style. But that does not help if you are drinking alcohol. So this week January 20th will be my first weekend without any alcohol. So believe me I understand and know what you're going through . I did stay at 150 for a long time. But that did not last. So that is the weight I want to get back to. So trying to get off 30 pounds.
@@babyfox2 I have a similar situation. I went from 235 to 130 (crack head lol) and now up to 165 and freaking out. It seems to be carbs for me too. I started drinking a glass of Pink Moscato when I take a bath every now and again, and I bet that's a contributing factor.
Hi from Dublin me too 3 yes po in October and had a sleeve baby 6 months ago I had gestational diabetes had to inject and lost more weight but since I had him I blew up 🤦♀️ the booze is a real addiction after the op it’s quite dangerous happened to me
Most surgeons would not consider converting a bypass to a duodenal switch after a sleeve. We would recommend getting involved in a respected medical weight loss program if regain is your concern
Can the sleeve be surgical reset, meaning more of the stomach removed where it has gained the ability to stretch? if for example 75% was removed an additional 10 % to shrink it down again?
Same here gained about 40 lbs was sleeved in 2014 need to get back to eating healthy again. I'm so into sodas again hate myself for gaining the weight. Baby steps again. 🤔
no thank you. I will keep eating whole food plant based and skip all the surgeries. this looks very invasive and like there could be complications down the line.
I'd hate to have surgery by this guy. He looks constantly exhausted. I'd be worried he'd fall asleep mid procedure. Ive seen more life in a morgue. His "get up and go" has got up and gone.
This is the Dr. that did my Gastric Bypass in 2009. great information Dr. Blainey!!

@@gbrieannful absolutely!

Instead of a reset can you just get a prescription of Phentermine or something that kills your appetite?
Excellent tip I’ll keep this in mind

Once you’ve converted your sleeve to a bypass are there any other options after that surgery wise?

Can the sleeve be surgical reset, meaning more of the stomach removed where it has gained the ability to stretch? if for example 75% was removed an additional 10 % to shrink it down again?
This is not a realistic option. The best option for further weight loss is to convert your sleeve to a gastric bypass.

this video is for surgical gastric sleeve patients
