I wish more people know about ATEEZ and how amazing these guys are :"( they deserves more recognition.
One thing that also may have contributed to his voice crack. They were promoting their Fireworks comeback and were on about 36 to 40 hours with no sleep. They prepared the dance performance the day before.
You can also hear some fry in SAN’s voice because they were tired and he had been singing a lot. His voice doesn’t normally have that.
I had no idea! Yeah them being tired definitely could have led to vocal fry and the crack in Jongho's voice (I believe that's the correct name). I definitely don't them to overwork themselves. I love that they are hard workers though.
Wow awesome reaction, the analysis of jongho’s high note was really detailed. I’m honestly not sure if he cracked his voice intentionally just for the performance but the original music track that was recorded in the studio had a perfect high note without cracking. I think this song is better to be viewed as one of ateez’s best performances but it’s not really as vocal heavy. Also ateez is pronounced as ay-teez 😄but I would definitely love to see more analysis and reaction of ateez’s vocals.
It could've been a lot of reasons behind the break in his voice even adrenaline could have played a factor, but for my first Ateez performance this was amazing. Also thank you so much for the pronunciation! I'm definitely going to look more into Ateez.
I love how you mention the scrunchy face because with kpop, people get very critical of how things look even if it’s the proper technique, so a lot of kpop idols actually avoid singing live so the visuals are better due to this criticism where as I personally love it, your face isn’t always meant to look perfect while singing especially with higher notes like that. Which is why I become a fan of ateez because they said they don’t care if their hair is messed, if they sweat they don’t care how they look rather just that they give a 110% in ever performance which is a great mentality
I never knew that people got criticized for that. When you are singing a simple smile could actually change the pitch and sometimes the breath of your note so the facial expressions really help in keeping things somewhat stable. I'm glad they just go on stage and give their best performance regardless 💜

Yeah Jongho definitely made adjustments to his belt in other performances of this song at concerts so the break doesn’t happen, I’m glad to hear your constructive criticism
Ahhh okay then. I just got slightly worried there because that break sounded slightly painful/strained, but I'm glad he adjusted it.
Loved this reaction and analysis of JongHo. He really is outstanding. And to think he hit those (and consistently does during tours) while heavily dancing is outstanding!!

@@CiCiRenaeMusic also they have a member named Mingi who wasn't in this performance due to his hiatus because of anxiety he was going through so if you check out more Ateez you'll probably wonder who the deep voice Rapper is. Mingi adds a lot to the group. They're all amazing dancers and vocalist. jongho is the main vocalist of course as you saw his amazing high note.
Thank you for reacting to Ateez. Their live performances are top tier. If you are looking specifically for live vocals, It's Live and Immortal Songs stages are great. Also Hongjoong's busking and their performance at the Grammy Museum.

your reaction to hongjoongs tongue 😂😂🙈 also I recommend turbulence by ateez, which is a song that is more focused on the singing (and the performances are not as overwhelming as wonderland or any other kingdom stage 😅)

im kind of late to this reaction T.T but thank you so much for reacting to ateez ! i love the way you analyze their performances, so I am looking forward to more ateez reactions from you :D also, jongho got a lot of "hate" and made fun of for his facial expressions when he sings high note, esp from non fans who just love to drag him. he is also aware of that, but like you said it is a proper and good technique, so he doesnt seem to pretend and lipsync just for the sake of looking good. however, he said he tried to look more relax and less "angry" when he sings high note for their more happy/bright songs. just a tmi, but ateez's facial expressions when performing is one of the best, and they got hate a lot from it too. but they didnt change just to please or to look pretty/cool on stage. they wanted deliver the correct emotions and expressions, instead of just looking pretty/cool.

I think you’ll really love ateez vocals and especially Jongho he’s certainly the best of the new generation of kpop and one of the best in the kpop industry imo. Ateez sang all of their Kingdom stages live. In concerts they are live-Jongho uses little or no backtrack for concerts (he made a mistake in their Newark concert and there was no backtrack).
Absolutely no doubt that it is live. Usually they have some sort of backing track to take over the ad-libs/ chants that some artists do.

Fans always say how cute Jongho (member who hit that high note) is when he scrunches his nose, and it's an actual real technique singers use, I ne er knew that. 😮😆 I think you're going to enjoy delving into Ateez, they are amazing performers, in fact they are known for being one of the top at live performances, they never disappoint and they always sing live. And Jongho, rightfully so, gets alot of praise for his vocals, but alot of fans really feel that the rest of the vocal line is very talented and stable like Jongho is in their vocals. San, the pink hair, has amazing range and a beautiful voice, and the others are just as great. One of my fave is a cover of Bruno Mars "Leave The Door Open", I'd check that out if you'd like. Another song of theirs that I love live is Inception, my favorite "slower" song of theirs. Oh, and check out Mist, there's no video for it but there are fancams from concerts of them performing it live and omg it's so beautifully sung by all the members. I cry everytime I hear it. ☺
I'm definitely subscribing, loved hearing you break it all down and explain it for us. Oh, and get used to them sticking their tongues out, we call them Tongueteez sometimes because they all tend to stick their tongue out randomly during performances. 😂
I will do my best to do "Leave The Door Open" but I will have to see if I can do that without copyright. For the scrunchy face technique V and Jin of BTS do it a lot also. It pushes the sound more forward to make it nasally and takes some strain off of the throat. It's really slight but it is a small trick lol. Also thank you so much for subbing!

#ATEEZ is a 8 member kpop group under KQ Ent that debuted in Oct 2018, unfortunately for this comeback there was only 7 present because MINGI was still on hiatus focusing on his mental recovery from high anxiety.

Last year this live competition show kingdom introduced me ateez, 2 year going to over but still I stucked within them , I vote only straykids for this show due to huge fan and always don't like ateez due to these type of tensed performances which was getting me distracted😭. But straykids friendship with them involved me in ateez alot😩. There were 6 groups all were best.
I believe the end note of jongho high note is ment to crack at the end as its more of ending it on a growl kind of thing
Ahhh okay I wasn't aware of that. However he still needs to be careful because if he does it the wrong way too many times it can still cause damage and I don't want him to cause any damage to his vocal chords.

Turbulence is going to be my next reaction! I will definitely give the other ones a listen! As far as the MAMA performances go I will have to see if I can react to them without copyright 💜

There are multiple choices for Turbulence but I reall suggest their most recent It’s Live performance.
Also if you really enjoy Jongho he was on Lee Mujin’s show back in August. The interview is 30 minutes though-but it’s is such a good show especially when he and Mujin have a little song battle with their favorite artists.
Also, Hongjoong has remixed several songs. The Numb (Lincoln Park) and Lemon Tree covers are so good.
