- Okay, so RUclips really doesn't like my Deinterlaced recordings direct from my TV Tuner, so I won't be trying to post one of those again... I had a version of this video that ran at a smooth 60FPS instead of the standard 30FPS... and when RUclips processed it, it became 2 seconds long...
Now about the stage... A lot of people seem to be intimidated by the rotating platforms (they appear to be spinning magnets) comparing them to the platforms of doom from Guts Man's stage in the original Mega Man. These are much more harmless and easier to get past, really...
This stage also sports the same type of rain effects as Toad Man's stage from Mega Man 4... with a twist! You'll see that twist in the video.
Tornado Man's a bit of a nuisance since his pattern is a bit randomized, but he is not too hard in general, with or without his weakness.
I apologize for the degraded quality of this video. Recompression always hurts quality quite badly.

Anyone else noticed how this song in the game has a good bass boost, but when you hear it anywhere else, you only hear the high notes?

Thumbs up if anyone laughed the first time seeing Megaman spinning on those cylinder things.
I am by no means a skilled MM player, but I really had a tough time with this stage and Jewel Man's stage. For this I used Rush Jet to get across both spinny platform sections. I just couldn't get it right. I even had trouble with the icy sections. I had no problems with the stages for Magma Man and Concrete Man, but some find those to be more difficult.
I love how the big powerups/1ups always fall onto spikes/into bottomless pits.
Here's my thoughts when I see those platforms...

When I first played this game I got a game over at the last screw. You could only imagine my rage when I realized I only had three platforms before the boss door.

The first time I played this, when MM jumped up after beating Tornado Man, I was waiting for the spikes to kill him.

@RasenganOtoniel I like how the bar fills just before the boss fight, it's one of the first things that come to mind when I think about Mega Man. But seriously, why so slow in MM4? D:

a little tip for you all...
the trident thingy can blast through the enemies with shields like the little red guys. with the normal blaster it takes 6 hits, as for the trident it's 3.
You can also use the Jewal Satalite to reflect his shots and kill him in 3.
I'm going to go take my first attempt... I'll die about at least 5 playthroughs worth lol!
A lot of Megaman fans really wanted something that looked and felt more like the old Megaman games (which are widely considered to be the best ones).

Mega Man 9 is what you get if a well-organized group of hackers with millions of dollars (Nintendo) to hack Mega Man 2 and make it look good. This game does play and feel a lot like 2.
Can't understand why people are hating and complaining about this stage. I loved it! It's so fancy with the twisting things and rain/wind push-back/boost. It also has one of the best Megaman tunes ever. So this is probably my fav stage to time attack! :)
Tornado Man himself, however, is slightly annoying. It's hard to not get hit by him, while still hammering him down asap :P And his kinda random nature is hard to predict - thus hard to time attack properly.

@Mastermind8908 the game was made to resemble the older, glory days of NES mega man graphically, as well as in gameplay. the game was intended to be exclusive for download on Wii, 360, and PS3 from day one, not on a disc. If Capcom decides to make a new updated, disc based Mega Man then it will obviously look much better, be longer. An "update" wasn't the idea. this was made to look/feel just like it did when you were a kid, and was made just for those who grew up with it, not for anyone else.

Great walkthrough. Great use of annotations. I'd much rather hear the brilliant music and sound effects than a voice over. My favorite theme song from this game so far is Splash Woman's theme.
I'm a pretty calm person, and this level makes me want to throw my controller at the screen

Killing all robot masters without getting hit and using Mega buster is the MOST manly, though.

Nice playthroughs! I'm impressed. Now, I really hate to be "that guy", but what kind of software do you use to record video games on the tv? I've done stuff with emulators, but I never did anything with consoles. Mind telling me how to get a good start?

@MrLD797 To Challenge the Player , and yes , it's on WII . as they've decided to use 8-bit motion , they must make it difficult like 8-bit way.
It's unlikely you'l ever try as hard a game series, without starting to hate it. It's extremely difficult, but equally fun.

This was my first and hardest stage in this game. ^^
The order i did the bosses in is galaxy man, concrete man, jewel man, hornet man, splash woman, magma man, plug man, and tornado man

You really should include what their weaknesses are in the description. That would save me a lot of time trying to figure it out myself; which would defeat the purpose of watching this in the first place.
this level is easy once you get the hang of the rotating rollers, ice floors, and a quick flash back of toadman's stage
D: how could they not release this on the NES or SNES?
I kid of course, but it would have been an interesting marketing strategy to produce a limited number simply for the sake "getting back to their roots"

Yeah it's for the wii..but I've seen a picture of a Mega Man 9 nes cartridge.
@frankytap I believe galaxyman is the easiest, once you get used to the falling enemies, just take a step back, and the level is easy.

Man... I chose these stage fist because I knew which music was gonna play and ended hating the tune D:, well not hate it but it has been so much time since I had clasic Megaman 2d action that I kept falling in each and every trap :(

Those aren't the most imaginative robot masters I've seen in a Mega Man game, sadly.

yeah this level is quite hard i have to fight the robot masters not in order i have to fight galaxy man jewel man plug man well it should be tornado man nxt but i go for splash woman since i cant do this lvl without the rush jet so freaking hard.
I'd go for Galaxy Man first, then Concrete Man. The rest I just guess.

MM9 is definitely worth it, sure it's hard the first few times you play it until you learn most bosses weaknesses. Then the game become quiet easy
you can download the game on Playstation Store for the PS3 too.
we need more retro sequels like this. They really did a good job on this game. Too bad 10 wasnt as good

man, it's almost like it's an old school 8-bit game as far as the difficulty curve goes...hmmm
TSBJunkie 9 years later, I've come to this comment to say that yeah. Which means it's TERRIBLE. It's a very BAD difficulty curve.

in what order should you play this game? I mean, what boss should you fight first and second etc. I started playing this today and i beat the cement guy after 7 tries lol im liking this game but its hard :) atleast for me hehe
