  • I tried to keep it under 1hr 50 minutes long, but didn't succeed by far. To skip straight to a specific part, here are the time codes to do just that:
00:00 - Titles and introduction to the Bürstner Elegance I910G
    01:21- Price, weight, and dimensions
    04:01 - Exterior of the Bürstner Elegance I 910 G
10:42 - Cab and the Driving Experience of the Mercedes Sprinter base
19:57 - Daytime Living - Lounge and Travel Seats
24:46 - Kitchen of the Bürstner Elegance, Difference between UK & German spec
27:20 - The Superb Washroom and Shower
32:00 - Interior lighting, including full lighting design
40:52 - Beds - how to operate front drop-down bed, and bed sizes
49:55 - Storage, exterior and interior
01:04:00 - Technology and the app
01:08:00 - Breakages, failures, breakdowns, and niggles
    01:17:50 - Wrap-up, summary, and conclusion
In this video I go into a lot of detail about the stunning A Class Motorhome, the Burstner Elegance I 910G. From what it's like to drive to the permutations of the interior lighting, it's all here.
We start off going through the price, weights, and dimensions of the Bürstner Elegance I 910G.
We then look at the exterior, including the gas locker, barbecue point, exterior TV point, and the superb extra-wide entry door, which makes this an ideal motorhome for wheelchair users.
Next up we see what this A Class motorhome is like to drive, putting the Mercedes Sprinter engine and chassis through its paces, and discussing the 143bhp engine and the Mercedes 9 speed automatic gearbox.
We then look inside the motorhome at Daytime Living, looking at the lounge area, the kitchen, and the washroom. This is followed by night time living, looking at the lighting design and a closer look at the beds and the bed sizes, including the electric drop-down bed at the front.
From there we head on to storage, both inside and outside, looking at the garage as well as all the lockers and cupboards. I look at how practical the space is in real life use.
Onwards to technology and the app.
I don't go too much into the app, as this is part of the Thetford iNDUS system, and I did a very thorough review about iNDUS which you can see by clicking here:
    • Camping Potti REVOLUTI...
Finally, we look at the breakages, failures, and disappointments experienced with this motorhome, which in this case were mostly down to having a hard life, and possibly not having been maintained as well as it ought to have been. It's still a cracking good motorhome.

Burstner should be very happy with your review! A great fair and balanced perspective with well considered contexts given. A vehicle like this is a dream for many people and you've given such a good insight about the many positives on offer here.

A big beast, probably well-suited to touring here down under for only a quarter of a million aussie dollars 😬. I’m a van kinda guy but I still enjoy yer motor home clips.

Excellent work, and it is work, you’ve put a huge amount of time and effort into this one! I have no doubt your words will speak directly to some folks who may be on the fence about this motorhome.

Thanks for a great in-depth review, Andrew! I see Dougal is just as nervous as my dog when driving... 🤗
(12l/100km seems quite high, I suspect that picking the more powerful engine would actually reduce fuel consumption because the engine wouldn't have to work so hard. I manage to average 8l/100km in my similarly sized van with about 180hp, even when fully loaded.)

Another fantastic review Andrew. I love your reviews they are always so honest and I appreciate your views/comments regarding choosing the right size of vehicle for our personal preference. We are just weighing up the options ourselves and the A class do look pretty good for longer tours, which is what we are considering. Beautiful vehicle, but slightly worrying that things start dropping off even on a newish vehicle, when you are paying over £125k for a new vehicle. Hopefully Burstner will rectify this for future models 🙏Thanks again 😁 x

Well that was well worth the watch thank you. Getting the spec right and also the confidence to drive such a beast - we were in Cornwall the other weekend and saw the local double decker bus going through the narrow lanes between Penzance and lands end and had no issues negotiating the narrow roads and one hairpin bend. Practice practice practice- cheers

Again a very honest review. To be honest, if this vehicle would have been on my buying list, it would now totally been put off. The failures are - even if the previous users did not handle it correctly, with respect or even abused it - it shouldn’t be in this bad condition. Especially the shower and the installation of the fresh water tank…., sorry Bürstner ☹️, please try again. Andrew, I know that you are an honest person and you always manage to see the pros and cons, but this time the pros seemed to be a little difficult to find and some of them are not even the manufacturer’s pros but from Mercedes, Thetford engineers etc. But that’s what it is now. Hopefully all Bürstner customers will receive proper working motorhomes to enjoy their holidays without DIYing too much

Brilliant reviews as always , I’d just like to say that lorries and buses do indeed drive all over through lanes and small villages etc but next time take a look at the side of there coach or truck ... scratch to hell so I’m sure you wouldn’t want that down the side of your 130k plus burstner or any motorhome. Looking forward to the next review 👍

You and Dougal are going to need a full time driver if you keep up the the 🎶 rock and roll life style in that motorhome. Black leather pants and t-shirt, dark sunglasses. Perfect 🤘

My 790 Hymer 2020 model has gas struts on the through locker doors. I live in the north east of Scotland and most campsites only go up to 8meters so that extra meter could cause problems finding a pitch, I would recommend doing some research into the availability in the areas you will be visiting before you go long.

On video it appears as though the rear garage extends 6 ft beyond the tag axle. Did this cause the rear to scrape on the pavement on steep driveways ?

    • @andrewjditton

Good point - but no, I never grounded it during the week I used it.

    • @hywel3143
      @hywel3143 2 года назад

That's an important point, Greg. I wonder whether this is an issue when driving on and off ferries with sloping access ramps, since even a motorhome of around 7.5 metres can ground the rear in these situations...

  • @igorpuschner786

Just a hint: what you are referring to as "just USB" is called "USB-A". You might also know USB-B which you find on most printers these days (the almost square connector with the angled corners).
Thanks for your review. I'd never buy a current gen motorhome since every manufacturer still thinks burning fuel or gas is the answer to everything, but I like looking at them for things I want in my van conversion, like the home light system. However: it would deeply annoy me to remove them before every drive and taking them down for recharge.

  • @Riso-Musik
    @Riso-Musik 2 года назад

It's annoying that you need a C licence because I still hold a D1+E (PSV plus trailer) and I can't take a C test because of my age. I'd love to drive something like that

The illuminated switches by the bed 😩 Not that i have £120k+ for it to be a deal breaker, but my eldest would really have something to say about those (and the buzzing dimmer lights). Leisure vehicles tend to be so dark at nighttime (all good) that any LED anywhere is generally a glaring issue... Alde control panel, Thetford blue light, flashing smoke alarms etc. Seems like a minor point but if you're bothered by these things, boy are you bothered!

Overall, after watching your videos about this RV, I would give the Burstner Elegance | 910 G an 8 out of 10 (on a scale where 1 is the worst and 10 is the best).
If a purebred Jack Russell terrier pup sired by Dougal was included in the purchase package then we are looking at a 10/10 rating.

Great review, for that money I think it's pretty average. 143hp as standard is pathetic for a van that size. It doesn't shout luxury when the engine is screaming light it does. Huge amounts of storage is great bug just what you'd expect on a van that size. Jump seats for 3rd and 4th passengers is not luxurious or elegant. I'll pass on Burstner thanks and stick with my Adria.

Wow!! A lot of good things and a few not so good! Great full review Andrew!! They cost an awful lot of money and you'd think only people with a fair bit of cash would buy this! I agree about the screw covers and the catches on the doors and the ladder not fitting squarely I thought was bad really! Anyway, they should be grateful for you honesty, they need to know these things! We're off to Devon tomorrow for the 1st holiday for over 2 years!! Can't wait! I shall post a couple of pics on Instagram! I'm hilraptin (don't ask!) I asked you to follow me back!! Take care, are you back in Blighty yet?! Safe travels to you and Dougal! Sending love and hugs xxx 💕🐕😘
