A competent mystery series so far. One can definitely see the seeds of Murder She Wrote, that would be planted by writer and creator of this show, Peter S. Fischer.
Indeed. The killer reveal and the use of flashbacks are something you'd expect to see on "Murder, She Wrote", of which I've been a fan since I was a teenager.
Peter Fischer worked with Richard Levinson and William Link earlier on Columbo, and also on the 1975-1976 Ellery Queen short-lived series with Jim Hutton. When Ellery Queen was canceled there were some unused scripts that Fischer adapted into some of these episodes, as well as the 6th season episode of Murder She Wrote, 'The Grand Old Lady'.
