Is it getting hot there already Ray? 🌞🌞
I didn't realize there was different heat and cold skirting. - I thought you could just reuse your winer skirting in the warmer climate. - Cheers!
The company wanted me to do some demo and how-to clips for their website. I was too busy in the fall with the boat, and the weather was wet and windy, so I told them I'd do it when I had time in the desert this winter.
Wait!! Im confused!! We bought this skirting this early fall and was instructed by ez snap to watch your video for installing. And you were in Canada, now your in the desert??
That was my 2020 skirting videos when COVID-19 closed the border, and we wintered in BC. The EZ Snap company asked if I'd be willing to do multiple shorter demos and how-to clips for their website and support use. I was too busy in the fall with the boat winterization, and the weather was wet and windy, so I told them I'd do the clips when I had time in the desert this winter. Cheers, Ray
I have used EZ Snap RV Winter Sklrting for several years and it does not perform as promised. During windy cold weather the caps and PVC pipe clamps pop off allowing the vinyl skirt to come loose. The vinyl stretches in warm weather and sags which makes it more vulnerable to the weather. After contacting the company for assistance and snap replacements I have not received the support needed. This entire project was a waste of time and money.
I spent the winter on a very windy ocean spit on the coast of BC and had good luck with it even in winds of 80-100 kph ruclips.net/video/aJilSzFDId8/видео.html The trick was not to make the skirting too tight so that pulls down on the snaps and also weigh down the tubing. I also ran zero-residue tape all around the top of it and I screwed the snaps to the RV ruclips.net/video/T-B691p7A-g/видео.html Cheers, Ray
@@LoveYourRV I didn't want to put a lot of holes in my camper, the adhesive tabs and plastic snaps were supposed to prevent this. I had to try to keep the skirting taut so that wind, rain, and snow did not pull it loose. Any sagging was a stress point and the snaps came off, even some of the adhesive pads.

Carefully Secure with Weights
To secure RV skirting against wind, weights may be placed under the RV on the inside of the pipe frame. Weights should be placed behind the skirting in the corners and down the sides.
Weights must be placed on the extra skirting material that is laying on the ground. Placing weights on the bottom of the skirting in a way that pulls down on the fasteners will eventually pull the fasteners off the mounting surface.
Customers use a variety of different weights, including cement blocks, sand bags, water bags, wood, or even their summer tires.
and if in high wind areas they recommended the screws. The 3M don't have the holding power.
3M/Screw Combo Sets
RECOMMENDED FOR HIGH WIND AREAS
My fingers thank You 🍒🍒
