Thanks! 😀👍 I most enjoy shooting guns that are not exotic or crazy expensive. I’m liking this Daisy, I can shoot low priced pellets accurately at long range thanks to the high quality barrel.
This was a total experiment as I wasn’t sure if it’d work or not. I’m glad to find it was a success! Pretty neat to be able to shoot accurately at that range with only 500 fps!
Thank and I definitely think so too! I suspect many will balk at its close to $300 price and low velocity but it can do a lot more than just 10 meter target shooting. My son was shooting it the other night at 50 yds off the rest and was quickly able to start getting consistent hits on pop cans. That builds confidence and interest in the sport of shooting. I can see why these guns are used in youth target shooting competitions. Very user friendly and capable. 😀
@@PapaTAdventures I’ve not checked the how many clicks I’m away from the end of adjustment but I’ve got a decent amount of leeway left. The mount definitely improved things as both the iron sights and direct mounted scope couldn’t elevate enough for the 50 yd distance.
Woo I didn't know there were elevation offset rails available, good to keep in mind. Talking about wadcutters I found some RWS ones to try in my 397 it's laser accurate with them. I'd tried other wadcutters but the kind with the grooved skirts and wasn't impressed.
I wish i had one of those when I had a rat problem, because of fruit trees. I needed to do some semi-indoor ratting, and not damage indoor wood structures. It makes me want to take out my Norica 56 youth rifle out to plink. I want to be a good neighbor though. It's been so long, I don't remember if it was annoyingly loud or not. My old neighbors were ex marines and didn't mind my plinking.
It definitely wouldn’t have an over penetration problem I wouldn’t think and it’s an accuracy is impressive! Your Norica 56 would be fun to try out. Tonight I noticed how much louder my Crosman 2100 was compared to my Daisy 753. It wasn’t terrible but there was definitely a difference.
I tried one in an earlier video and it couldn’t compensate enough for the drop. I like this smaller, lighter Tasco scope but something in the same size/weight with mill dots would be a really versatile set up.
Whoa! It’s under $300 here in the USA. I initially thought it was a bit pricey but now that I’ve owned it for 6+ months and am seeing how versatile it is I don’t think the price is bad at all for metal gun parts and a Lothar Walther barrel. I guess the main thing is I really enjoy shooting it. Far more than I was initially thinking I would.
Nice i love your low budget airgun content😉👍 better then watch airguns that are out of range 💵😉👍

Awesome plinking setup, looks like a lot of fun to shoot with. It shows how you really don't need the highest velocity to get good results

Would make a nice 25 yard Sparrow Whacker
It totally would and it’ll accurately hit out to 35 yds with the iron sights. It runs out of elevation adjustment past that.
I bought a couple of Barska 3 to 9 x 32mm Scopes pre Covid for $29 each & they have been excellent for my 25 yard CO2 rifles :)
I’m not familiar with that brand, I’ll have to look them up.👍
@airgunsalaska Barska is a good one..I had several..👍
another fun video! good shootin'
I’m stoked I was able to get it dialed in for consistent hits at that range. 😀
Awesome plinker for the price range 😉👍. Thanks for the Video. Cheers from 🇨🇦🍻🙏.

Nice, you found a working solution! And another solid hit of a video.
Thanks! I just wanted to show what I found that worked as I was struggling to compensate for all the pellet drop at that range.
@airgunsalaska definitely worked, and didn't even have to change pellet type. How much adjustment room do you have now?

Daisy FTW!
Right!? It’s a great little gun! 👍😀

I’m looking forward to trying out some domed pellets when they come in.
I’m glad you’re liking your 397S. It’s a very accurate gun!
@@airgunsofalaska It's kinda primitive by modern standards but quality and accuracy for the price are off the chart, super glad I got one.

Is very powerful for 50 yards
It was maxed out in elevation for the rear sight and the pellets had a significant rainbow trajectory. 50 yds was the max for iron sights
Nice rig. Wouldn't happen to have a link to that mount? :)
I just included it in the description. I saw that I bought that mount back in ‘15 😆
👍
Hello from Kansas, have you ever tried a milldot scope?
I tried one in an earlier video and it couldn’t compensate enough for the drop. I like this smaller, lighter Tasco scope but something in the same size/weight with mill dots would be a really versatile set up.
How does the trigger compare with the 880? Is it any lighter?
Wow poderoso y sertero para lo que es este rifle
It’s only 500 fps so not particularly powerful but it is very accurate.
Couldn't you wait for your phone to charge ???
@@doctorxring I guess I was excited to film the video while I was shooting really well.
That 753 is 600$ in canada 😵💫. I found a sub 500 umarex browning that has the most stealth recoil ever. I'll have to find a 50 yard range somewhere 🏕
