Agreed, it's not the age difference that's the issue. It's the people involved. They can't read each other's minds so they have to communicate to each other what the issue is. That's really how most marriages fail. Lack of communication.

I have a friend who married a woman 17years older than him last year. He relayed to me that he's bored and he's trying to flirt with me. I feel sorry for him and the situation irritates me. They’ve been together 10 years! Her age has nothing to do with it. A lot of men and women too get bored after 10 years with the same person. Love is the glue that seems to be missing at this point. However good advice for you is to stay out of it! 10 years of bonding is more powerful than you know. He will use your feeling sorry for him to get a fix and run back to his security (boredom).

I feel young guys go after older to prevent children and also the party seems even though age never stops enjoying life. With today's medical techniques a shot off ladys make older young again in that area. What's happening when the lady stops enjoying fun times and the young fellow doesn't or the opposite. I know the pain that can come with age gap relationships bc what a lot of naive lonely old ppl don't understand is, they really need to be careful when dating someone say, 20 years their junior. Simply bc of the mere fact that they can be dealing with a narcissist especially if that person is very wealthy and the younger one, doesn't have shit going for them/no goals or future...being a "kept man" so to speak. It sickens me to see shit like this happen. So I'm not "wet behind the ears" when it comes to this. I'm 41 yrs old that dated a Covert Narcissist for 3 years...we are both the same age and he was very abusive. After he drained me emotionally, and took all my furniture (including my late mothers stuff) he then left my daughter and I completely destitute for a rich woman 20 years older. I tried to warn her, but Narcissists, especially covert ones are damn good at portraying themselves as the victim. When I look back on it now, I thank my lucky stars he's out of our lives. I have sinced ,dated a man 11 years my junior but realised he is better as a good friend than a lover bc of the lack of things in common due to our age gap. I'm just saying, ppl really need to be careful out in this world when dating someone with a huge age gap...I would question ulterior motives based on my experience. But that's just my opinion. The truth is the majority of couples divorce, it's 52% and remarry someone else. If two people are happy and in love does age matter, I say no. If the man kicks the bucket the woman would marry again and would be in the same percentage.
