Taehyung's voice is so beautiful. I know RM wrote this song, but I just know RM wrote it with Taehyung's style in mind. I'm so in love with the video. My favourite lines: 'Have I lost myself, Or have I gained you' I don't know why, but those lyrics are BEAUTIFUL.
it just sends chills down my spine. The way he sings it, the way he looks and the dance moves. Singularity as a song and as a video are just artworks ;-;
Taehyung Come Fight Me agree. Everytime I listen to this song, I want to cry. I feel blessed to has witness a masterpiece. RM is gifted. I didn't know he wrote the song until I read your comment. Thanks for the knowledge.
Taehyung Come Fight Me the first time I heard the song I started to sob. I don't know why, but I was just sobbing. When I read the English lyrics and listened to it again I was sobbing again. Weird
This is, in my opinion, their best intro by far. Not only is the song and the music video AMAZING, but everything about Singularity fits Taehyung so perfectly
"Tend to get more creative than the average kpop music video" Absolutely true, blows my mind every time. It's not just a music video it's like a message. Like an episode in a series that they've created with music
if you see the 2017 melon music awards performance it says wonder, her serendipity, tear singularity, and epiphany in the bg. seokjin is the last vocalist so for love yourself: answer the intro should be epiphany sung by him :)
This song really took taehyung to another level i cant see any one can sing this song like him. his emotion, his voice everything match with this type .. this song was made just for taehyung and only him ..
It is r&B and neo-soul. I said this to a girl who is tae biased when she said what genre it was because she disliked it. What is so surprising is the exact same words you said in the video are the same ones I told her when the song was released. I personally think this is the most fitting for him. Because if the lack of instrumentation, his vice is able to portray rhythm and melodic lines, mostly e cause of his timbre. You can see alot of the parallels between this song and Stigma, which was his other solo song
Lynk. I love this style of music, but yeah I don't think fans who normally listen to regular kpop music would appreciate this type music. They are mostly into mainstream sounding songs.
genie k Yeah, sadly those who only listen to mostly mainstream sounding songs are missing out on different kinds of styles and sounds. I personally have always been the type to love finding something new and explore with my music taste. So when I got into kpop and kmusic as a whole, I was always looking for something new and I still do that till this very day. 😂😂
Lynk. I actually don't like kpop but i really like Bts cuz they always manage to bring something new, something interesting, especially with this song Singularity is so beautiful and Taehyung voice is heaven!!! I really hope their new album has that kind of vibe.
What you said about the choreography not necessarily matching the song, i think the choreography is influenced by modern ballet? Certainly the style where not every movement/footwork is designed to be on beat. Its a really wonderful bit of work by keone madrid.
A lot of people theorize singularity is about the internal struggle between your public identity and your true identity hence the whole mask concept, dancing with himself (his other self), and reflection. So maybe the difference in choreography is suppose to indirectly point to that contrast between your public and true identity.
Rosie P In my opinion it slowed down and picked up at the right moments. If it was as slow as the song it wouldn't stand out as much. I thought it fit well.
No, the choreo just sucks, really. Unfitting and unnecessary. It's just going to be a bother to him singing while dancing to it. Serendipity didn't have a choreo, and this one as well could not have and no one would miss it. Keone has to stop with the intense footwork crap.
dysfunction. I thought they had a girl play that part but then edited her out with a green screen. In retrospective, that was really dumb of me to assume lmao
this song makes me cry and turns me on at the same time. Kim Taehyung is a very very very beautiful man and his voice sends me to places i didn't even know i could reach.
Thank you so much for your reaction. This was the most mature, serious reaction I've seen yet. When you read the lyrics you will understand why I say this. You were so in tune to the haunting vibe of V's feel in the song. Way too many reactors have take it so out of context n made this a "sexy" concept not even close to getting V's pain, his loss of himself he was bearing throughout the whole mv. This is why you are my fav reactor.... you always get it.
Top Kwon25 The people who I have watched didn't know Korean and first put the lyrics the second time, and because of that I understand why people find it Sexy, however I believe PD knows Korean and therefor most likely won't mess up the meaning as other reactors might do ☺
You took the words right out of my mouth. It is so saddening to see one of bts' most sincere and raw songs to date stripped down to be the typical "sexy rnb song". I am sure Joon wrote the lyrics after listening to Teahyung's feelings just as he did with 4 o'clock. This song might be the closest we'll ever get to Taehyung as a person, yet he is misunderstood...as usual.
medbeth 98 RM wrote this in one shot while he was in the hospital n I'm sure he was expressing both his n Tae's n probably all of the members feelings of losing their identity because of the "mask" of always having to be BTS. It's a haunting, sad yet beautiful song. The mv is a work of art. Is such a shame people are sexualizing it n missing the whole point. I'm glad you get it. Thank you for being a true Army💖
I love this new view. The video felt more personal as if u were really talking to me. I like this angle ! And I agree with what u said about video. Thanks again
ah, I understand that feelingーI'm sure anyone who's an army will feel that way at some point~ 💜 ^-^ it's generally satisfying when amazing work is being noticed
Korean fans said that the whole message of the songs was about two conflicting egos within yourself. One being the facade which is how we desire ourselves to be presented on the outside, hence the mask. The other being your real self who is struggling (and drowning in the lake) to show itself. A layer (of thick ice on the lake) is preventing the real self to be revealed. When spring comes the song is saying that the ice will melt you will be able to accept your real self with time. I think this ties in very well to the concept of loving yourself.
I love how the choreo has almost a duality to it: the floating, fast paced foot work with the slow and expressive hand movements that go with V's strong acting. The contrast between the comparatively more open 'concrete stage' and the closed in flower room seem to show where the two sides of himself reside. They are connected by the water/ice (can view each other through it) but are also divided by it. But in the end neither of them are free, both of them are just in different sized "closed spaces" where he can be watched by the world but not be released to it. You are so right that V invites us in with his voice! I think through each aspect of the video he pulls us in to see his pain and suffering of having a dual identity and not knowing if he still has his original self left. This is in the same way that an artist invites viewers to interact with the subject they are presenting. Truly V is an artist in his own right.
One of the most beautiful and sensual videos I have seen in a long time. Then there is the VOICE! I love the R&B/jazz sound. This one just raced to the top, of not just my BTS list, but of my all time favorites. Mood music at it's best.
I thought the same thing about the dance not matching and even to a point where it sort of bothered me, but then over watching the video more, my opinion has changed. I actually really like the choreography and the way it goes with the song. And like you said, it still is contrasting and brings attention to the whole MV whether you like it or not. I also appreciated how in each scene, it was so simplistic that the center of attention was Taehyung the entire time, rather than everything else - that he among everything else is a separate entity, a singularity. Even in those leafy, more cluttered shots, the contrast was always there. I love this MV, song, and the choreography - it is definitely a style made for Taehyung (bless Namjoon and everyone who was involved.) I'd love to see someone absolutely analyse the crap out of every aspect of this MV, because despite it's minimalistic nature, it really feels like every single thing about the video has a lot to convey and is there for a purpose.
same, at first I was cringing lokking at it but then I watch it over and over again, analyzed the whole choreo and I find it very interesting. Slow beat doesn't entitled to slow choreo, Imo, this keone madrid made a good job👏💜
BTSpop rules stay salty bitch Absolutely agree. Who says we must CONFINE OURSELVES TO THE BOUNDARY OF SLOW DANCE TO SLOW MUSIC??? Not BTS obviously. 😂 Also, love your username btw
I absolutely adored this music video. Not just the visual component or the music but the way they worked in conjunction to one another was astounding. I am a huge fan of V's voice, and I thought it lent beautifully to this style of jazzy, rnb song. You can hear in the background occasionally V humming and it is just one of the smoothest and most driving parts of the song. TL:DR I enjoy this very very much.
I think I’ve watched this video 50 times already since its debut. Am in love with the melody, the voice, the cinematography and the production creativeness. Thanking RM. Can’t imagine anyone else performing this masterpiece. 💜
I really loved this trailer. Taehyung's voice is sensual and hypnotising and the music video was so well thought-out, visually beautiful and interesting and smooth. Even before I knew the lyrics I could FEEL the song, you know? I'm really anticipating LY Tear now, can't wait to see what more they have in store for us because with BTS you never know what is next!
In that transition you liked at the end where he drops out of the shot, I liked how after dropping out, he ascends on one side and he flicks the tail of his coat towards the other side. Both the flicking and the fact that he disappears and reappears in the shot ,accentuates his movements.Seems like more than just a closeup that way as it throws you off a bit and you don't know what to expect so his movements end up more dramatic(for lack of a better word).
I honestly lowkey hate people calling this 'sexy'. I feel like they're missing the whole point of the actual concept because they're too busy looking for sexy. My favorite solo in Wings is Stigma by far. I was extremely impressed to find a kpop group having a song like that. Stigma has become one of my favorites songs ever. If this is the intro I can't even imagine the rest of the album. I love BME but I have to agree that video wise, Singularity is better. They were really creative with the details.
I love his voice His style His personality I can hear him sing all day He's not my bias but I do favor his voice the most, and as soon as I heard that song, I was captivated, like wow!
V is very creative, this music video is very beautiful and iconic, V has a smooth and deep voice, it's very interesting what V did with his hand and masks. Congrats to V, it's one of the most misterious way to create music!
Thanks for the reaction. I liked the song best, it may be one of my favourite BTS songs along with Stigma. It's restful after getting an earful with songs like Fire, Dope, Mic Drop - which are great too. I too absolute love Heize and I'm discovering Suran who gives the same kind of vibes.
Hi! Thank you so much for this ellaborate reaction. True, it's rare nowadays for social pop artists to produce this kind of song, and BTS did a great job for choosing V to take this song. He really owned it, it's his genre and his voice perfectly fits. I am also amazed with his dancing skills, you can trully tell the big amount of effort he put in this performance. Adding the aesthetics and his acting, this MV promises a great comeback for BTS💜
They are doing the intros per member, at least if you count it from the more recent eras. In any case, for the Love Yourself series they are distributing them to the vocal line :) Dark&Wild/What am I to you: Namjoon HYYH/p1 & p2: Yoongi Wings/Boy meets evil: Hoseok LoveYourself:Her/Serendipity: Jimin LoveYourself:Wonder/Euphoria: Jungkook LoveYourself:Tear/Singularity: Taehyung LoveYourself:Answer/Epiphany: Jin (to be released)
can someone explain to me why the intro for wonder was released when the next mini album is tear? at least that's what i read, that we're gonna get 4 mini albums and there's love yourself: her | serendipity, so if the next album is love yourself: tear | intro: singularity, then why was intro: euphoria released already? or is my dumb ass just too stupid to understand lol
Don't worry....for all I remember, the whole era has 4 parts (起承轉結/Wonder, Her, Tear & Answer) but only 2 were having albums (Her & Tear). Wonder, which is technically the 1st part (if you follow the order from the highlight reels) works as a "prologue" video, hence they released it as an MV only. BH said it was not going to be an album. And tbh, all the stuff of this universe is released in disorder lol so we hope that for 'Answer' we finally get the correct timeline, alongside the explanations on the h-reels. All the parts of this era work in favor of the HYYH Universe's storyline (in terms of the video concepts, i wouldn't say the lyrics per se). Does this make sense....i dont wanna confuse you more lol
@Andrean Arellano Thanks I had the same question too now I have an idea about what’s going on ,though I low key want euphoria to be released as a track cuz it’s so beautiful, we shall get all the answers in ANSWER
Keone Madrid is a great choreographer :) they've been working with him for a couple of comeback's already but this is by far one of the most original choreographies I've ever seen. They did a great job, I think the back up dancers are Keone's friends
I actually thought that the choreography is not really matching the song as well when I first watched the video, it took me a few times to "get it"? I don't know why but it just kind of klicked and I was like "yeah this is totally fitting".
Yes! I’ve been waiting for your reaction to this... you always offer insights & details that make me pay more attention to the work as a whole. I especially like & agree w how you suggest Tae’s voice is used to guide us through the experience...love that observation! I think the entire song/mv is stunningly gorgeous & I so much appreciate the focus on his beautiful voice.🙏💜 Thx for sharing your thoughts
You’re the best reactor in my opinion! Like I can feel your honesty and I like that you’re not afraid to tell when you don’t like something .. keep it up ☝🏻👏🏻
your describtion about Vs voice guiding you the song is so accurate. I loved this review! Actually, I have to confess, I am not a big fan of R&B or Jazz but this song made me feel something. I don't know what exactly but it felt haunting and I was literally drawn into into it. The MV is very artistic. I was confused at first, I didn't relize it was his own hand he is dancing with. That had got me shocked.
the whole choreo I knew from the beginning when V was with the coat . Was from Keone Madrid , who also did an example of that coat dance in another song. I loved everything about this M/V
“Hauntingly beautiful” is probably the absolute best description for this song and video that I’ve seen/heard. The lyrics are really beautiful, as well, so I hope you enjoyed going through them. Thank you for reacting to this! 🙏🏻 P.S. Dance or music for this? God the combination is absolutely the ultimate version and the one who RIPS your breath away but the music wins out if I have to pick. Taehyung doing jazzy RnB is just too good
I loved how you described the song, especially by saying it was like a dreamlike journey, because that describes exactly why I love Singularity so much! While I really enjoyed Serendipity, there's just something about the dark and haunting vibe in the song/video that just fits perfectly into my personal aesthetic. Thank you for putting what I couldn't say into words!
it took me a while to notice it, but he's actually dancing in time to this metronome type sound and once i realized that it made watching the choreography so much satisfying
I feel the same way about the flow of the song. You couldn't barely find a chorus audibly, but the choreography kinda guided you to see that chorus verse. It was so smooth, I swear I haven't been able to guess where the song ends. It guides you till you can only feel the music and then you hear the final notes and you just wake up suddenly. So beautiful, I'm very excited about this dark, sexy, very melancholy theme, further based on the OR photo sets released yesterday. This is a really strong theme production since the Wings era with all of the short films.
All the aspect are beyond wow, vocally, visually, the dancing, acting, expression, charisma everything is on point. he bring live to a death song, so beautifully really is beyond imagination. i always love your honesty thank you
Been waiting for your review! I completely agree with your view that it is "hauntingly beautiful" and that "he was guiding us with his voice". Thank you
I love it so much. I honestly love everything about it. Tae did such an amazing job. It really felt like Tae's whole spirit was in it and you could just tell that he worked hard on it.
I was wating for your reaction. This is my type my type of song and I loved when you said that we are guided by Taehyung's voice, that´s how I had felt. Thank you
Thank you thank you thank you. I watched so many reaction videos that, while being funny and engaging, called this sexy, baby-making music before reading the lyrics and didn't really touch on much else. While his voice is very sensual I love how you focused on discussing the videos use of space in both setting and instrumentation. I also loved that you pointed out something that I adored, which was that the song and the dancing seemed a bit discordant at first glance but in an odd way that contrast just helped to compliment each element. You were right, it is raw and haunting and I adored it. I am always excited to see your reactions to videos I love and BTS means more to me than a group probably should so this was a gift to my day.
That whistle...hahaha love it! I love this review...says a lot from my point of view as well. Singularity is "exquisite" , sultry, hauntingly beautiful...V's eerie vocals really guides us with the song. He is perfect for this intro. I also pondered on how elegant his executions are. Singularity is an Art & V made it into a Masterpiece! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Can't wait to hear the title track for this CB!
Some amazing Choreo by our man Keone! I love that you pointed out the speed of the choreography. I think it's truly an ode the kind of dancer V is that he was able to make the choreo and song still feel connected. This was an incredibly detailed, thoughtful and sharp review as always, Thank you PD!
I really REALLY LOVED Singularity. V's voice is my favorite overall. He is baritone. I can't say which is my favorite part, but I liked that the choreography fills the empty spaces in the music.
I loved everything about it ... I was already in love with tae's deep voice but with the dancing which I didn't expect and the visuals and artistry in the mv , it's just amazing , I mean what would u expect when the best are gathered in one place , from keone madrid to lumpens and so many more amazing people & V performing ... AMAZING
I thought at first watch that the dance didn't match the music but after many (many) watches, it really does. The story is so haunting too, just amazing. EDIT: Many watches because I love it so much.
I appreciate tae's voice very much in this song 👍 1st watch silent n wow with all cinematography n beautiful scene transition. Every shot is so well done with delicate artistic vibe in right amount of taste level..... second time watching the lyric overwelhm with such personal n powerful lyric.... drag into my own memory along with those messageful scene. ... lyric with all those mask scene and self dancing mannequin as if he is self talking to himself inner voice of him..... u r right huntingly beautiful ❤👍
"I would describe that as hauntingly beautiful" OMG IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND A WORD TO EXPRESS WHAT I FEEL TO THIS AND YOUVE SPIT IT OUT CORRECTLY 👌 AMAZING REACTION AS ALWAYS🙌💖✨
I love you take on the music videos. I think the choreo speeds up sometimes in direct opposition with the singing to express inner turmoil or anxiety, and even if it’s faster, it matches some of the elements in the beat perfectly. V has the widest vocal range of all the vocalists. He has the deepest singing voice but can hit high notes. He has said before that this jazzy, soulful style is the one he likes best. I agree. I can see him covering Hartman, Sinatra or Buble. 😍
i found all my aesthetics here in this music video, which are minimalism, jazz and r&b, dark yet rich and vivid tone of colors (?), modern influenced dance, taehyung and even my new favorite word to describe beauty, *hauntingly beautiful*
Absolutely agree about bighit put so much efforts and creativity into their music video. Feels like they think about every dots every detail which mind blown. I dont even know what am I saying. These just heavenly deadly GOOD
Kristi Yamachika a korean music criticus had explained abt tae vocal type and of course other bts vocalist too, and tae is a little bit unique cuz the three other vocalist from bts are tenor, and he's the only one who is baritone and baritone in a kpop group is also a bit rare.. Oh yeah, and there are a blog that analysis bts vocal ability etc, maybe you can check them out 🙌 and also i'm not a music expert and maybe what I read and see abt them can be wrong, but its fun to search abt BTS and of course all of the BTS members have an exceptional skill 😊😊
Kristi Yamachika he is actually a baritone but sings in a higher tone or airier tone cos Kpop. You can see some old clip here in yt with hiM singing in his Baritone range. Quite sexy actually.
I love that you give a feedback that breaks down multiple elements of the song/video. A lot of reactors just watch the video and then as soon as it's over it's just like "okay guys smash that like button and subscribe thx"... You, my good sir, have earned a new subscriber
Hi Form of Therapy:) This is shushu Issue1 from South Korea. Not only I but also thousands of korean armies are big fan of yours! But to understand what you are talking about, we need korean captions. If you are fine with that, I'd like to make captions about your reaction(or review) clips on my channel. (It's different from just posting korean captions on your channel.) I guarantee there would be a lot of merits to you. First, you'll meet more fans in Korea who didn't know about you yet. Because I make captions only for korean fans, making settings to fit a korean language. Second, It'll be some kind of bridge between you and korean armies. Even if korean armies don't know how to speak english, they would be known about your channel, and I'll promote your channel to visit yours by introducing you, too. I am looking forward to your positive answer. Thank you for your sincere reaction. God bless you, Form of Therapy:)
I think the reason why the choreography seems like it's faster than the song sometimes or doesn't really fit, is because they're moving on every little beat or note, so whenever the music does something they do something, but the notes they're moving with aren't always the ones standing out or forming the main melody so it can seem like the dance doesn't fit the song or is going to fast. Also quite a lot of the choreography is made of bigger or simpler movements, so it's easier to pick up on everything they're doing. Basically they're using the music in their dancing in a very detailed way, and as a dancer that makes me incredibly happy
This video and song are amazing. I love everything about it. Taehyung's vocals... so, so beautiful. I really feel the tension and emotion in his voice when he sings some of the lines and it takes my breath away.
I’m so glad that you liked this because bts is my favorite group, and they do get a lot of hate because they are gaining so much popularity, they still work very hard and deserve all the love. thank you please keep working hard PD! I love this angle too!
Hey PD, great video! I'm wondering why you're not filming with your regular setup? Loved your insights as usual although I do have one note. While your reactions focus on critiquing video production with other song/lyric commentary as an aside, it does bother me in instances like this where you choose not to give the lyrics a read before giving your final thoughts on camera. As a film storyteller yourself, I'm sure you would have great insight into how certain film techniques or the visual imagery used conveys a certain theme or message (in this example, the story of Narcissus and the ice/water imagery, the opposing sides of the singer's persona talking to each other in the song and the use of masks, Ophelia reference). I would loved to hear more of your insights on how effectively/not effectively/clever ways in which you think the visual references work for the story being told in the lyrics. However without reference to the lyrics first, it's unclear how you respond to these references. I only find this a shame, as you would have the most technical reference to critique the ideas being presented in the MV - not because of any need for you to ~appreciate~~ the lyrics, or whatever. To be fair, this criticism only applies for some certain appropriate MV's which enhance or reference the lyrics, which not all kpop MV's follow as a rule. BUT I think it's pretty easy to check quickly off-camera just so you know you're not lacking any of the info relevant to the story the MV is trying to convey.
Neens_ _B I think he said in one of his videos that he has to focus to completely understand the lyrics, and so he can’t focus on both the visual and the lyrics at the same time. So yeah, I think he understands the general idea of the lyrics but maybe not every detail ? But I may be wrong.
I was actually looking forward for you to make this video. I very much enjoy your take and how you describe the videos/music. Truly loving the content that you produce!
Singularity is my most favorite trailer ever, just like PD said, the whole thing is pure ART. Taehyung's voice too is so beautiful and blends so well with the whole vibe of the music.Idk it's just perfect 👌
Hello. thank you very much for your reaction. Singularity is my favourite intro so far. Everything abt it is so beautiful : V mellow soft voice, his dancing, emotions, acting, the visuals...just wow.
"His voice is like smooth chocolate!!!!" Said everyone who is SHOOK
Shumii lol fr
It actually feels like the steam from hot chocolate. Like not the chocolate itself but the frosted air above it
A dark chocolate because of V's deep voice 😍❤💜
Taehyung's voice is so beautiful. I know RM wrote this song, but I just know RM wrote it with Taehyung's style in mind. I'm so in love with the video. My favourite lines:
'Have I lost myself,
Or have I gained you'
I don't know why, but those lyrics are BEAUTIFUL.
Taehyung Come Fight Me Thats my favorite line too.
it just sends chills down my spine. The way he sings it, the way he looks and the dance moves. Singularity as a song and as a video are just artworks ;-;
Taehyung Come Fight Me agree. Everytime I listen to this song, I want to cry. I feel blessed to has witness a masterpiece. RM is gifted. I didn't know he wrote the song until I read your comment. Thanks for the knowledge.
Taehyung Come Fight Me it's my favorite too
Taehyung Come Fight Me the first time I heard the song I started to sob. I don't know why, but I was just sobbing. When I read the English lyrics and listened to it again I was sobbing again. Weird
Fun fact: RM wrote this in one shot straight when he was outta the hospital
몬스타엑스방타소년단 We have the best fucking leader
KookEmon I AGREE
Really???!
misfits / Yup, he said so on the fancafe!
He just wrote the lyrics guys...
"-it feels like he's taking you in a dreamy ride. . ."
*nods my head furiously*
did anyone else think the coat hanger actually had a hand like it took me so long to see it was Vs
haha yes I thought it was another persons hand for the longest time until I checked twt
BEN IVAN SAME
BEN IVAN Yes 😂😂 and I was so confused as to why it was a man’s hand and not a woman’s
For like 7 plays of the song
Well that's me
This is, in my opinion, their best intro by far. Not only is the song and the music video AMAZING, but everything about Singularity fits Taehyung so perfectly
Facts
Agreed
"Tend to get more creative than the average kpop music video" Absolutely true, blows my mind every time. It's not just a music video it's like a message. Like an episode in a series that they've created with music
The coat hanger choreo was created by Keone Madrid and he worked with V on this MV. In fact the back up dancers were his crew.
Keone Madrid is really LIT... congrats to him.
Thanks for the info
EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT!
it was : jimin serendipity, jungkook euphoria, taehyung singularity, and next is seokjin :)
rosie h how do you know the order?
it's just the order of release...next should be epiphany
if you see the 2017 melon music awards performance it says wonder, her serendipity, tear singularity, and epiphany in the bg. seokjin is the last vocalist so for love yourself: answer the intro should be epiphany sung by him :)
And j-hope boy meets evil before that but that was a different era

That is nowhere near modern ballet the dance style is lyrical hip hop
A lot of people theorize singularity is about the internal struggle between your public identity and your true identity hence the whole mask concept, dancing with himself (his other self), and reflection. So maybe the difference in choreography is suppose to indirectly point to that contrast between your public and true identity.
Rosie P In my opinion it slowed down and picked up at the right moments. If it was as slow as the song it wouldn't stand out as much. I thought it fit well.
Twinkling PaopuFruit Agree, it's more urban lyrical style of dancing.
No, the choreo just sucks, really. Unfitting and unnecessary. It's just going to be a bother to him singing while dancing to it. Serendipity didn't have a choreo, and this one as well could not have and no one would miss it.
Keone has to stop with the intense footwork crap.
When I first saw the Singularity MV I thought BigHit was doing some robotic shit with the arms lmaoo
dysfunction. I thought they had a girl play that part but then edited her out with a green screen.
In retrospective, that was really dumb of me to assume lmao
sAME
@@rix6831 no thats actually creative XD I had no idea it was his hand here, I thought he just did that for the live performances.
this song makes me cry and turns me on at the same time.
Kim Taehyung is a very very very beautiful man and his voice sends me to places i didn't even know i could reach.

The people who I have watched didn't know Korean and first put the lyrics the second time, and because of that I understand why people find it Sexy, however I believe PD knows Korean and therefor most likely won't mess up the meaning as other reactors might do ☺
The Danish Darling but they had subtitles so that's not an excuse.
The Danish Darling Also being a long time fan following the concepts n comebacks I knew the sadness n pain attached to Tae's story.
Manny exactly!
Love his reaction:
"dreamy ride with his singing", "haughtingly beautiful", "guided by his VOICE.."❤️
Agreed! V's voice is really good for jazzy, slow songs and he really guided us with his voice here. :D
i just miss the jeonghan framed picture
3:23 I thought he was gonna start whistling DNA lol
몬스타엑스방타소년단 lmao i thought the same
SAME I was like hold up
몬스타엑스방타소년단 OMG I WAS GOING TO COMMENT THAT! I had to pause the video and put DNA on!
Sameee
Same😂😂
I always feel very happy when someone compliments BTS songs, artistry and aesthetics (°x ° ) is it just me?
ah, I understand that feelingーI'm sure anyone who's an army will feel that way at some point~ 💜 ^-^ it's generally satisfying when amazing work is being noticed
Milagros Malpartida it's really the best thing 💓😍😘
it makes me proud 💜💜💜
Same tbh
I love this MV, song, and the choreography - it is definitely a style made for Taehyung (bless Namjoon and everyone who was involved.)
I'd love to see someone absolutely analyse the crap out of every aspect of this MV, because despite it's minimalistic nature, it really feels like every single thing about the video has a lot to convey and is there for a purpose.
Bridie McClure 👏👏 totally agree
Yes.
same, at first I was cringing lokking at it but then I watch it over and over again, analyzed the whole choreo and I find it very interesting.
Bridie McClure haha, some people need to know. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
“You're being guided by his voice” I couldn't have decsribed this song better
I've been trying to think of the perfect description for the Singularity MV and hauntingly beautiful is PERFECT.
Yeah the song isn't meant to be but lots of the fans think v himself along with his voice is sexy so they'll call anything he's apart of sexy
oikawa tooru i think it’s bc it sounds sexy, and r&b alway sounds sexy. but the lyrics definitely aren’t so i get you.
I love his voice
His style
His personality
I can hear him sing all day
He's not my bias but I do favor his voice the most, and as soon as I heard that song, I was captivated, like wow!
Singularity is a piece of art
V is very creative, this music video is very beautiful and iconic, V has a smooth and deep voice, it's very interesting what V did with his hand and masks. Congrats to V, it's one of the most misterious way to create music!
The song is so much my taste. I enjoyed it very very much. Hauntingly beautiful indeed. It's sexy, smooth, and dark. Very impressed.
Fluid choreography
Artistic scene transitions
Natural characterization
Tranquil voice
Abstract visuals
Scintillating ornaments
Transcending style
Interesting beat
Cavernous message
Thanks for the reaction. I liked the song best, it may be one of my favourite BTS songs along with Stigma. It's restful after getting an earful with songs like Fire, Dope, Mic Drop - which are great too. I too absolute love Heize and I'm discovering Suran who gives the same kind of vibes.
*V’s voice melted me.*
In any case, for the Love Yourself series they are distributing them to the vocal line :)
Dark&Wild/What am I to you: Namjoon
HYYH/p1 & p2: Yoongi
Wings/Boy meets evil: Hoseok
LoveYourself:Her/Serendipity: Jimin
LoveYourself:Wonder/Euphoria: Jungkook
LoveYourself:Tear/Singularity: Taehyung
LoveYourself:Answer/Epiphany: Jin (to be released)
can someone explain to me why the intro for wonder was released when the next mini album is tear? at least that's what i read, that we're gonna get 4 mini albums and there's love yourself: her | serendipity, so if the next album is love yourself: tear | intro: singularity, then why was intro: euphoria released already? or is my dumb ass just too stupid to understand lol
@Andrean Arellano
Thanks I had the same question too now I have an idea about what’s going on ,though I low key want euphoria to be released as a track cuz it’s so beautiful, we shall get all the answers in ANSWER
i think it will most likely be released, either as a side track in Tear or in the repackage for Answer :)
Nadja Wieland Same
"Hauntingly Beautiful.." yes man YESS
Like I can feel your honesty and I like that you’re not afraid to tell when you don’t like something .. keep it up ☝🏻👏🏻
I love smooth jazz and soul R&B
music.
I loved the song and the music video, the masks were, HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL
your describtion about Vs voice guiding you the song is so accurate. That had got me shocked.
i am soo in love with the song, its just so good
the whole choreo I knew from the beginning when V was with the coat .
All the aspect are beyond wow, vocally, visually, the dancing, acting, expression, charisma everything is on point. he bring live to a death song, so beautifully really is beyond imagination. i always love your honesty thank you
I really resonated with him taking us on a dreamy ride!! The more I listen to this song the better I feel tbh.
Been waiting for your review! I completely agree with your view that it is "hauntingly beautiful" and that "he was guiding us with his voice". Thank you
I love everything about singularity.
We can seriously notice your love for lighting plays and tones. Your recording place is so pleasing in tat sense. Love it.
I love it so much. I honestly love everything about it. Tae did such an amazing job. It really felt like Tae's whole spirit was in it and you could just tell that he worked hard on it.
"he's guiding you through the song"
Love ur comments on the video and I love both V’s voice and his dance. This mv is killing me
This music trailer is my favorite of all other music trailers by BTS 😘
Your way of describing things is so interesting, i always love your reactions ❤️
“Its almost like he’s guiding u through the song u know what i mean” YEA I DO
Thank you! I love your objective and sincere opinion as usual. And what I most like from the video is Tae voice, is like melting chocolate
Ahhhh yes finallyyyy
I love your Reaction pd nim
That low whistle yes sir that was us through out that video
I love you take on the music videos. I think the choreo speeds up sometimes in direct opposition with the singing to express inner turmoil or anxiety, and even if it’s faster, it matches some of the elements in the beat perfectly.
V has the widest vocal range of all the vocalists. He has the deepest singing voice but can hit high notes. He has said before that this jazzy, soulful style is the one he likes best. I agree. I can see him covering Hartman, Sinatra or Buble. 😍
i found all my aesthetics here in this music video, which are minimalism, jazz and r&b, dark yet rich and vivid tone of colors (?), modern influenced dance, taehyung and even my new favorite word to describe beauty,
*hauntingly beautiful*
Absolutely agree about bighit put so much efforts and creativity into their music video. Feels like they think about every dots every detail which mind blown. I dont even know what am I saying. These just heavenly deadly GOOD
3:23 i thought he randomly started playing dna for a quick sec
Cassidy me too haha
V is a barritone 😁
everytae everykook , and also has an incredible range.
i don't think he's a baritone, he just sings with a dark tone/timbre
OMG i totally agree with u!
It was "hauntingly beautiful", like u said.
Hi Form of Therapy:)
This is shushu Issue1 from South Korea. Not only I but also thousands of korean armies are big fan of yours!
But to understand what you are talking about, we need korean captions.
If you are fine with that, I'd like to make captions about your reaction(or review) clips on my channel.
(It's different from just posting korean captions on your channel.)
I guarantee there would be a lot of merits to you.
Sure go ahead!
Thank you! I'll let you know when it's done.
Your reaction is the best reaction I've ever seen and your voice is very nice, clear to hear. Thanks for the reaction!
Tae's voice just got me, it was raw and mellow and dreamy and leading. I love it!!
V!!! his voice is very unique and soothing...video is indeed a superb masterpiece!!!
The choreography & coat racks is the concept of KEONE MADRID. He also choreographed Not Today & Dope.
Hauntingly Beautiful! I like that word.
V's voice just blew my mind away in this.
Ali Gillespie - I totally agree.
But... Why does it says that your comment was written 6 hours ago ?!? Is it just from me or do other people see it ??
Camille M i see it too
He's korean so he understands what they are singing
Neens_ _B I think he said in one of his videos that he has to focus to completely understand the lyrics, and so he can’t focus on both the visual and the lyrics at the same time. So yeah, I think he understands the general idea of the lyrics but maybe not every detail ? But I may be wrong.
As much as i agree, he IS/CAN speak Korean, so he will understand them anyways.
The brother of Stigma 💜
I was actually looking forward for you to make this video. I very much enjoy your take and how you describe the videos/music. Truly loving the content that you produce!
i completely agree about the part where they danced with the coat hanger. that surprised me and i love it so much, it's super unique and creative
Love when you said “hauntingly beautiful”, I felt so much the same too.
Singularity is my most favorite trailer ever, just like PD said, the whole thing is pure ART. Taehyung's voice too is so beautiful and blends so well with the whole vibe of the music.Idk it's just perfect 👌
I actually like both... choreagraphy and the music. I love it :)
I really love how you always put my exact feelings that I have from a song into words, it's great 💜
Hello. thank you very much for your reaction. Singularity is my favourite intro so far. Everything abt it is so beautiful : V mellow soft voice, his dancing, emotions, acting, the visuals...just wow.
