    First off, great channel, and super concise and well-made videos!
    What I learned: 1 ) How to make the KPI containers for dashboards and 2) Another way to show parameters without using the complicated parameter function!! The Window function in the calculated field is suuuuper useful!!

    Thanks man, I was really confused with how to change the background color for containers as I thought it was under the format section, but it was in fact in the layout section. I was inspired by your dashboard to build mine, as I'm a beginner and I spent too much time thinking about the layout. Thank you and have a great day !

I liked the fast pace, though it did take me about an hour to work through to make sure I was really absorbing the steps, but that's totally fine. Thanks Andy, I hv recently started using Tableau and I found it a lot different than Power BI. This quick & short video has helped me understand some basic formatting issues I came across.
    BTW, don't we have separate cards type visualization for showing KPIs in Tableau similar to what we have in Power BI?

    • @vizwiz
      @vizwiz  11 месяцев назад +1

      There aren't out of the box card types in Tableau like there are in PBI. This can make it much quicker to build something in PBI, but Tableau allows you to create any card you wish.

    I have a question : Why did you choose a floating container to start off the dashboard, and not a tiled one?
    Thanks!

    • @vizwiz
      @vizwiz  11 месяцев назад +1

      I explained that, didn't I? It's because it makes organizing the dashboard way, way easier. If you use a tiled object to start, you end up with a mess of extra containers that tableau adds automatically.
      Here's more details. bit.ly/tableau-containers
