Dressing up the unsightly front fork axle holes on my 2023 Kawasaki Voyager ABS.

  • I really couldn't stand the big holes in the lower front forks where the front axle goes through. I looked around and found some nickel plated steel, push in hole plugs. I use these all over my vehicles, usually in stainless steel or chrome but for this size, I was only able to find these. I actually like the look of the nickel because it blends in well with the surrounding metals on the front forks.
Please excuse the shaky video, even with the camera stabilizer, I am trying to regain the use of both arms after the two recent neck and spinal cord surgeries. Everyday it gets a little better and I am looking forward to riding again in the future. I hope you enjoy the video and it is of some use for you folks out there with a Voyager 1700 ABS.

That's a cool cap. I never thought about capping anything on my Kawaharley, Great idea. Hope you feel better soon. Take Care and Be Safe .

I’m surprised that an aftermarket company didn’t produce a chrome axle bullet for the forks. I had the same issue with my Raider, put the axle bullets on and it totally enhanced the look .

      You
You're right! It's amazing how much thought and research Voyager owners have to take in order to dress up even the smallest things on this fantastic motorcycle.

@@tanktankerson1042 I’ve been avidly attempting to purchase a pre-owned 2023 Voyager, love that color combo. I can across 3 of them, all under 1300 miles…BUT…each were so badly scuffed and some gouges in the tank. I cannot believe the cosmetic issues on such newer bikes; I cannot live with those issues nor will they come out with buffing, etc.

@@Nervedraz Reasons like those, plus, you never know if someone was hard on the engine, are part of why I just cannot buy used. Of course, if you know the individual selling the bike and how it was taken care of, that's a bit different. Buying new is expensive, I know, but at least you know how the bike was taken care of since day one.

@@tanktankerson1042 I absolutely agree and I prefer that; being a 2023, new ones are far and few between at this point.

@@Nervedraz I know, I guess I was lucky when I purchased mine. You're right though, the 2023 colors caught my eye and I couldn't get the bike out of my head. I was hooked and a couple days later I was buying it. I sure hope you find one, someone out there has to have one they've taken care of.
