At the end, when they are under the bed, when Charlotte laughs, it's a genuine laugh; not the cackle she usually does. She is her genuine self with George. Everyone else, including her children, get the character "The Queen."
Exactly. She is Just Charlotte with Just George. ❤️🥰 Even Brimsley doesn't get to see her cry - she made him look the other way.
QC loved KG so much that she doesn’t want him to be a blip in history. She wants him to be remembered and for his line to be continued.
I was confident that the final scene under the bed would elicit some tears from you, I was not disappointed.
By far my favorite Bridgerton series so far

The actor who plays the older Brimsley said in an interview that there was a scene written but never taped. Reynolds is alive but since Charlotte and George live in separate households and George needs constant supervision Reynolds and Brimsley were separated. No hard feelings. Nothing dramatic. Their love just couldn’t withstand the separation.
I assume that each of the three matriarchs of the Bridgerton series (Queen Charlotte, Violet, and Lady Danbury) are meant to get their own mini-series. I feel like Queen Charlotte perfectly set up Violet's own show.....and it can do the same past day/present day juxtaposition where, in the past, we can see how Violet met and fell in love with Edmond Bridgerton. And in the future, we can see her fall in love again now that her "garden" is ready to "bloom". I would watch the hell out of that show. ☺
George is not half a man in those sheets 😂

When I went back and rewatched you can truly see him breathing better when she is around. It’s like a sigh of relief. Beautiful love story. Definitely my favorite.

We need this!!! ꕥ I also love how emotional you get... I do so, as well. It's healthy to empathize. Two beautiful love stories. I prefered this to all the other Bridgetons. The love story of Brimsley abd Reynolds touched me as much as the Queens love story. I hope there will be a season 2..I need to see what happened with Reynolds...I need to see more of them...❤

I agree with you ..queen charlotte is much better them season 1 and 2 ..george e charlotte are best love history ever .. because it is a real love full of pain ,difficult but full of love and compassion. Pray for season 2 for Queen charlotte .

It does! 😂😂😂 You can see that she loves her son and she's just fighting for him to keep his crown thw best way she knows how. She's still racist and elitist though but you can tell she comes around.

They have finished filming season 3 and its currently in the process of editing or has been edited. A few days ago we got first official pictures/glimbses of the season.
Most of the characters are returning for season 3, except Simon and Daphne.

The show OUTLANDER eventually becomes what you are talking about with Violet by focusing on the middle age relationship and how it doesn’t end after 40 despite what some younger people may think 😂
I love Outlander; I even read the first four books.

Dont you wanna see Colin and Pen's story? Youre one of my fav Bridgerton reactors, so i hope you stick around. But ,yeah i too would love to see Violet with a hot, slightly younger man. Maybe like a Pedro Pascal type. Colin and Pen's story will be a real difficult exercise for the writers to turn two characters that we already know, turn from childhood friends to hot lovers. Thats why im intrigued to see how that'll turn out. QC story was really well done, all the acting was fab and most importantly it was not predictable and i like being pleasantly surprised by shows that make you see things differetly from how you were expecting.
The friends to lovers and unrequited to requited love is what I love best about Colin & Penelope, yes!
Even though we've barely seen Gregory, I can definitively say that Colin is my least favorite Bridgerton brother, so I'm not excited about Season 3. I do hope we get a spin-off for Violet because I want to see her love story with Edmund, and hopefully young King George and Queen Charlotte can make an appearance. :) I would also love to see more of Lady Danbury. I truly hope she had another "gardener" after Lord Ledger.
Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to the series. I plan to re-watch Season 1 and Season 2, so I will check out your reactions to those seasons as well.
kinda wish she did… but, if so… wouldn’t she had released her attachment to Lord Ledger? She is still shown visiting the place where they first met after her husband’s death… and that means, possibly, that he was irreplaceable in her memories

I just started watching The Great on Hulu and really like it! I think there’re 3 seasons. I’ve watched up to 1x6. Emperor Peter is played by the foodie guy from The Menu. Catherine the Great is played by Elle Fanning, I think. Her lady’s maid is hilarious! It’s pseudo-historical like QC. It’s less of a romance than QC. I bet you’ll like it!
I'm excited about season 3 Polin 😊 the things I have been seeing and hearing about it seem promising 🤭 I didn't really care about Anthony in season 1 but loved him in season 2. So I'm interested in the development and growth from Colin and Penelope.

I really liked your note about the hats. how keeping them meant that they cared and how "displaying them" meant that the secret is out in the open and both parties accept that. I do feel that Violet and Agatha reached an understanding in that moment. I was worried that Violet will be VERY mad at Agatha for boning her father and never telling her. but I might have underestimated her - she might be wiser than I expected.
and that is somehow connected to your other point: we don't see middle-aged women in romance novels. I couldn't accurately predict her reaction because I generally only see young, inexperienced, passionate people who are not yet fully able to grasp nuance. I would LOVE for Bridgerton S03 and S04 to focus more on Violet's generation and their romantic endeavours. still, S04 is Benedict's season, so I also want to see him naked in a few more scenes, if you don't mind ;)
I really appreciated the conversations between the older Agatha and Violet in this season - we should be talking more about mature people and how the desire for romance and closeness does not just disappear once you hit 30 or something :D
I find it fun how you combine Bridgerton and Hamilton in your reactions. I was amazed when I realised that both feature the same Mad King George - it does make it difficult to determine one's attitude towards the man :D (but come on, we love both Farmer George and Jonathan Groff, don't we? ;) )
also, just to note that I really enjoy your reactions to the sex scenes in this show ^^ and the fact that you were so on board with Agatha and Lord Ledger ^^

I loved this much more than S2 and probably S1 too. So bittersweet. I’m really not looking forward to S3. I don’t see the chemistry between them.

Pen-elope became so unlikable by the end. I preferred Colin and Marina together. I liked Eloise with Theo the printer. I don’t want Marina to die. And I still want Benedict to be bi. Not with the artist since he has a boyfriend but some other guy to have Benedict fall in love with.
Shonda Rhimes and Julia Quinn wrote the hell out of Queen Charlotte
No disrespect to Julia, Bridgerton is her brainchild - but Queen Charlotte is all Shonda. Which is why this season is wildly considered more emotionally mature and deeply poignant.
