The Princess that died this episode wasn’t Charlotte’s daughter it was her pregnant granddaughter. Charlotte’s son who was constantly crying was the father of the pregnant Princess Royal.
Now that Charlotte’s only grandchild is dead, she needs another Royal grandchild. Charlotte is older than she looks and she also started having kids when she was very young.

I got to admit this is the only Bridgeton part of the series I've watched and the only one I liked. I tried to watch some of the others but it was too raunchy for me and mostly about sex. This series was more about love within a marriage and them overcoming challenges which is more realistic and comes closest I think to most couples who last the test of time into their 90s or 80s or 70s. They've had alot of hang ups, arguments, vulnerable moments, tragic moments and kids have issues but they last through it all. At the heart of the family is love inspite of it coming off as unloving like Charlotte with her children who seemed cold with her children and love for each other in the family. But it's not perfection. Love is patient, tolerance, determination etc.

They say that George was bipolar in real life, but there is still a lot of speculation.
I love the disclaimer in the beginning because it basically says they are NOT giving a history lesson and that the accuracy was not going to be followed as this is fiction.

Derek, I'm so glad you're reacting to this because I loved it *way* more than the first two seasons of BRIDGERTON! The ultimate subject matter, as you'll see in a few episodes, is fascinating and either resonates with a person or not... it does for me. I hope you'll appreciate it, as well. 👑 #SleepyWaffles #TomVerica #QueenCharlotte

Same. I’m dealing with depression and my husband and I had some growing pains with it initially but he sticks by me. People with mental illness deserve love too❤. And I’m glad this show exists to show that

This season was miles apart from the other ones in terms of depth to the show. The dialogues didnt seem as corney . Credit to the writing and phenomenal actors

There was a lot of speculation that the real King George might have been bipolar. The other theory is that he had a disease called porphyria, which can cause neurological problems. Obviously nobody can know for sure now, but the speculation is interesting. I also found it interesting that in the show Queen Charlotte blamed her daughters for not marrying, when the real Queen Charlotte forbade her daughters from marrying in order to keep them with her (probably due to loneliness), when they very much wanted to marry and have families of their own.
As others have pointed out, the person who died is the Queen's granddaughter, who was 3rd in line to the throne (after King George and his son). She died suddenly in childbirth and the baby died with her. This was devastating as she was the only legitimate grandchild and was much more popular among the people than either her father or grandfather. So the problem in the "present day" is that now the Queen needs to encourage her children to have legitimate heirs so that the throne will remain in the family after her son. And yes, this ultimately led to Queen Victoria in the end.

Shonda Rhimes didn't write any episodes for Seasons 1 and 2. That's why you saw her name more for this.
The Princess Royal was Queen Charlotte's granddaughter and Georgie's daughter. She and her baby died and it wiped out the line of succession.

I was wondering whether you’d react to it!
I got to watch the first episode at the London premiere and I was blown away! When it dropped I almost watched it in one go, in a day I was done.
    I loved everything about it.

31:30 it was similar in Bridgerton S1. QC was always asking “Is he dead?” Though they did have some meals together. I assumed that they lived in separate wings of the same house, mostly because of his dementia or Alzheimer’s.

I have problems with Bridgerton due to the accuracy of the costuming that is what I plan on working on after school. they are correct that the corsets would be boned with whalebone. how ever the problems are mainly from the fact that the regency area ( this is the area in which the main Bridgerton story takes place) as the costumes are not accurate to the period mainly with the lady Fetherington. this is also personal as I made Regency area dress before the show came out.

Yeah, you have to go into Bridgerton understanding that the show is absolutely 100% not trying to be historically accurate...at all. The costuming is not historically accurate the fabrics used are not historically accurate and the music is not historically accurate...yeah just a bunch about this show is not historically accurate and it's clear from the very first episode that they're not trying to be accurate. Some people went into this show thinking that it was going to be and historically accurate adaptation and so they were severely disappointed when they could point out the very obvious intentional inaccuracies in the show.
