Demona is evil, crazy, tragic, sadly, and complex character. Young Demona is not evil, she also thaught she was crazy in the future. But it is a pity that she is still crazy because of hatred. It is really sad.
Indeed! No one can deny that she loved him and perhaps she still does but she too knows the glass can't be mended anymore! Her hatred appears to be stronger than her love right now! Yeah young Demona was idealistic but couldn't help to notice she was the "extreme type". She was pure but at the same time extreme. She seemed to see only black and white in every situation. This was probably what drove her from hating more and more till the series of her tragedies for more than 1000 years finally broke her.
Yeah, I definitely agree. They are a classic, sad, star-crossed lover story. That's what I was going for really and why I tried to show the love and heartbreak during the quiet parts of the music. I always felt bad for them, I like Goliath/Elisa, but Goliath/Demona is just such an awesome pairing too.
Oh yes. All those years she was tormented with guilt so in order to protect herself she blamed everything on humans and the blame was to be shared indeed but she used humans as scapegoats to save herself from her pain. Also at the last scene I doubt she believed she would find her beloved one again. Maybe she thought she would eventually die without embracing him again which in reality would have happened if the Macbeth incident hadn't occurred for her to gain absolute immortality. In fact she was aging really prematurely for a gargoyle because of the stressful life she had. She had reached the age of 82 while in gargoyles age she should be like 51 she grew up fast almost at humans pace. She would have died without seeing him again. That alone is very sad for her heart to bear I think... 😢
For anyone wondering, 0:24-0:35 is an incorrect accidentally made for that episode. It showed Goliath entering the clock tower and embracing Demona with the Pheonix Gate. Later the animators corrected the ending
This was my all time favourite t.v series growing up and even to this day i watch it. I've even managed to get my younger sister ( shes about 14 yrs younger) and both of my nieces hooked on this sereis. But the Demona and Goliath aspect always made me so sad. Even when Demona is trying to kill goliath it still evident that goliath, deep down, still cares for her very much. I thought eventually that they would reconcile but it never happened. Demona, imo, is the best villianous out there
Ronald Davie Me too! I always wanted them together, they had such passion . I loved that they where the only disney characters too make it past the happily ever. I wanted SO bad to see her find her faith in humanity and be reunited with her love.
+Juliana Powers-Personally, Demona caused too much damage that could ever be repaired to where even if she began to see the error of her ways (unlikely, she has lived for centuries as this cold, despicable person), she caused way too many wounds for Goliath to ever mend their relationship, I think she still loves Goliath deep down and she wishes she could still be with him (she did hook up with his "son/brother" Thailog after all, and Thailog appeared to be everything she wished Goliath could be, but he turned out to be way more cruel than even she wanted Goliath or herself to be) but she also views him as weak, contemptible for siding with the humans even after all this time and she is furious that his next relationship is with a human woman, so she hates Elisa for "getting in between" her and Goliath, she probably blames Elisa in part for why Goliath turned against her, even though Goliath saw the person she truly was, and she hates herself for driving Goliath away but hates Elisa for her mistake even more, insisting if Elisa wasn't around, she and Goliath might be together, and Demona's relationship with Goliath only exists as a mixture of fond, dimmed old love, hatred, and abuse. Some part of Goliath still loves Demona deeply but he doesn't love the person she is now and has accepted that the woman he loved is gone and even if they did reconcile their relationship a bit, both of them are too hurt and too damaged to ever go back to each other, and Goliath has someone that loves him dearly. I feel more bad for Angela since she still holds a candle of hope her mother can be redeemed, she still wishes she can have a relationship with her mother, she understands that Goliath loves Elisa and she doesn't wish for her parents to be reconnected, she just wants a connection with her own mother, she still loves her mother to where she hopes Demona can see the light someday, so if Demona ever repents, even just a little bit, I just hope it will be to where she decides that she wants a relationship with her daughter and if Broadway and Angela ever have children, that she wants to be in her grandchildren's lives as well.

Ohh I LOVE your video! I have always think Demona is just another victim of the circunstances, Yes, now she is full of hate, but i can´t blame her. Her story whith Goliath is so sad, i still think he should be with her, but goliath loves the human so much...
Exactly and in a way her tragedies were only partly her fault. I mean she is the primary cause and yes she is full of hate or even insane but no one denies that originally she planned it so her kind would have a utopia but it went terribly wrong. Also the hunter she created... Well okay she did scratch the boy but it was also out of I'll luck that the boy was as fanatic as she was. I mean come on if we started a crusade against every cat that scratched us or every human that punched us then no one would be alive today! Also no one can deny she was constantly chased and that she saw humanity's worst side (from the crusades till world War 2 and cold War and all the others like genocides or the Inquisition...) No wonder she lost whatever sense was left in her or the last trails of humanity and softness in her heart. And she had to bear her cross alone with no one by her side and when she finally reunited with her love she found only repulse and rejection from him first and later she considered him being disloyal too. At least in her head she chose to see only his faults.

Love...has wondered me far more than anything else..!! Friends...have hurt me far more than enemies..!! Family...gives life no one asked for are meant to be cherished...they are directly at fault for an existence one may loath, yet we never hold it against then..!! I'll never be married with children because I love my wife so much...I spared her form death tearing us apart. I love my children so much, I've sparred them from any and all fear, loss, and pain...even certain death..!! If only just one could have loved me that much as well..!!

Demona loved Goliath 1000 years ago, but she has been blinded by time and hatred now, which is a pity.
After the tragedy of the castle, she lost everything, hatred and despair gradually eroded her mind, and The Angels of The Night have become "Demona".
