The Valhalla plugs are just incredible. I use the VintageVerb and their Delay all the time and have all their free stuff -- Supermassive is amazing and you can't believe it's free. Love Izotope Doubler. Def gonna check that BPB Saturator. Awesome vid, thanks.

Maybe not only 1-2 vocals takes, so more u got so more easy u can use comping. Do not be an ape and imitate chers song from 1998, we are in 2021. The Doubler: great plugin from izotope, special when use on instruments. When u are a Vocalist and can not 2 or 3 times sind the same, time for practice and/or a vocal teacher. The Satuater: "The tube...low order harmonics...add warmth", "tape...high order harmonics...adds clarity". For what u need an extra EQ than? This is all u need to set the vocals right in the context to the instruments. Vocal compression: is only needed when the recording is high dynamic, more often a limiter is the better option to get what u want. Vocal reverb: often used wrong by amateurs. Reverb can make your vocals very fast muddy and wooly. Echos and delays are most time what u need when want add space to your vocal. Reverb often used after the delay/echo to make the repeats less prominent and more washed but only work when the effects are used parallel, so the "dry" vocal cut better throgh the mix. Biggest mistake u can make is use a reverb as insert effect. Stop this "i will fix it in the mix" thinking. A DAW is no sewage treatment, when u send shit u will get shit. Better work on your performance and setup.

The vocal doubler might also work wonders if you need heavily expressive strings, or, with very short delay, for a slightly exaggerated honky-tonk effect on a piano. I checked this. Whoooooosh! The 2 Valhallas are interesting, too...

I have to agree. A lot of this is un necessary and the reverb and delay should be on a bus not on the physical track.

Ok a bypass button on Vahalla plugins wouldn't go a miss but we can all switch off the effect in DAW.l channel to a/b it.
