I had goose bumps watching your sail away. I sailed from Budapest 4 yrs ago on another river cruise, different company and the memories I have came back. Love your video,Looking forward to the next one
Thank you for watching, seeing Budapest at night was absolutely stunning. It was something we missed out on last time as we cruised into Budapest about a month after the Hableány disaster when two boats collided at night. At that time sailing at night was banned but we were so happy we got to do it this time round.
Thank you, having done two Danube river cruises in summer I’d be keen to try a Christmas river cruise to experience all the festive things. I hope you have a wonderful cruise!
I'm back to watch again in order to help us decide if this is the itinerary for us. I feel we're getting closer to booking a river cruise and TUI looks great value for money. They don't seem to be offering the extras package online.
Thank you Angela for watching, to be honest, the best thing about the little extras package was the ship tour behind the scenes, the rest wasn’t worth it. Priority check-in was non-existent.
Thank you very much Mark, the next episode will be ready next week. Tui Skyla doesn’t dock in Romania but when we sailed through the Iron Gates it was on one side of the Danube, with Serbia on the other.
You could do with two full days really (minimum). We return to Budapest at the end of the cruise and have some time there. If you do a city break you can do a dinner cruise to enjoy the lights at night.
Great video. I just subscribe to your channel as I was searching for someone to update us on the current river situation in Europe. We are due to board a river cruise November 23rd of this year and hoping we get water for our sailing.
Hopefully there will be rain and water levels will improve soon. We noticed the levels were much lower and I’ll make sure I point this out in future episodes.
Great watch, should have been on that cruise last month but Easyjet let us down and we decided to change itineraries, I love the TUI Rover Cruises.....and we use that Premier Inn at LHR, it's great!
What a shame about your flight, at least you were able to book another one, which itinerary did you choose? The Premier Inn is in an ideal spot, we’ve stayed here previously before a fly cruise and couldn’t fault it.
@@CruiseLifestyle we chose Rhine gems as due to other commitments we couldn't fit that itinerary in. Had a great time still, done 2 River Cruises and thoroughly loved both. The Danube is on my wish list 😅 Emerald Princess next in 3 weeks, 4th time lucky a 'covid' cancelled one.
Hi Laura….This is August 2022 and there doesn’t seem to be any issue with the Danube river water level from your clip. Are the news media overhyping the drought situation and fear-mongering the demise of the river cruise industry in Europe?
It was clear that the water levels were lower. We saw lots of beaches and sandbars on the Danube along our journey. On our way back to Budapest the captain told us we only had 35cm of clearance from the riverbed.
I have to say, having just enjoyed a Viking cruise on the Rhine, this did not look appealing. It appears you've not seen any sights other than Budapest by night as you floated by. The two times you docked were a big ZERO. I watched this video hoping to find an alternative to Viking. Very disappointed. Your video isn't disappointing. The cruise is.
Please consider watching the second episode, we visit Novi Sad, Serbia and it’s far more interesting. I’m about to complete the third episode, which will be out soon and features cruising the Iron Gates (the reason we chose this itinerary). Also on this cruise, we visited Belgrade, Vucovar and then returned to Budapest for more time. As I said, keep watching, the itinerary gets better after the first day 😁
Wonderful shows here. Excellent presentation; very informative and a pleasure to watch.
Thank you very much! I’m really glad you liked the video 😃

Going on this exact cruise at the end of the month, great video !!! Very helpful
I hope the river levels improve for you, it was a nice cruise. Give me a shout if you have any questions about the ship or ports.
That’s just brought it all flooding back! The Parliament Building is something else!
Great video Laura ❤️❤️
It was so pretty and very special!
Looks amazing, would like to try a river cruise one day….looking forward to seeing the next episode xx⛴
I think you’d be surprised how much you’d like it. There’s only one way to find out…!
The parliament building looks spectacular, as if it’s floating. Looking forward to the next episode
Yes, it looked stunning at night
Really enjoyed this video Laura - that Budapest sailaway looked truly stunning. Looking forward to your next episode 😊
It was such a treat, because of the direction we were heading, we actually made a special trip up river to see it.
Beautiful video. We are booked to go on a Christmas river cruise next year along the Rhine but I definitely want to do the Danube in summer 😊

@@CruiseLifestyle That's helpful Laura, I won't feel I'm missing out now.xx
Great videos!
When will the gala night video be uploaded?
Does Tui Skyla stop in Romania?
Thanks

@@CruiseLifestyle that sounds like a great idea - think I will have to persuade Paul that we need a weekend away between cruises 😂
@@TravelwithUsLynnePaul yeah that’s a good idea, I think flights are fairly cheap to Budapest.
