Ladder! 8 goes on a run for a Class III alarm

- We are in front of quarters of FDNY Ladder 8 at the corner of North Moore Street and Varick Street, where we see the company as they go for a run with Battalion 2 for a Class III alarm at 26 Federal Plaza off Lafayette Street. Ladder 8 is a 2011 Ferrara Ultra with a 100 foot rear mount ladder. Enjoy the view of the Ghostbusters house, as well as the new rig and the sound of the EQ2B. I was there in summer 2015. It's no longer the run down area of New York displayed in Ghostbusters. :)
That fire house is awesome.
I watched this video before reading the blurb, and I was thinking of the Ghostbusters when I first saw the fire house. So it really is the Ghostbusters house. Amazing.

Man, just getting to learn all the codes and names for everything in the FDNY must be like a university degree program !!! I don't get it. I prefer a nice, A-B-C structured system, lol..also, the only fire dept I ever see leaving quarters like they do, with the guys walking out onto the sidewalk and street, the truck gets out of quarters, then the guys get on.

talk about slow getting out of the hall, just over 2 min to get everyone on board and moving. seems to be the norm for NY
***** that is very slow ! we have 60 seconds day and night to get the truck out of the station and on the run ! ;-)
Late reply, but this is a Class III alarm, these calls aren’t really that big of a deal. Watch us leave house when it comes across as multiple calls or smoke/flames showing
They are waiting for the air pressure to build up in the brakes. Because being able to stop a 50,000 pound fire apparatus is kind of important.

The rescues don't come with a q. The members buy and put it on.
