If you have a 10 or 20,000 mah battery pack you can charge the battery while in the field. I was in Palawan and ran into this problem, as I was out in islands all day.
Yep... it's great in case of spontaneous copying (like travel) and could be used sometimes for sure but it wouldn't be my favorite way cause while you copy: + the battery is not charging (it could delay your flight-out); + the battery is discharging (you have to recharge if you wanna fly max); + the drone is noising (what in most cases is annoing); + the drone is heating (not so annoing as noise). These become actual if you need to copy >1GB.
KrisFlix definitely. Not something I use on a daily basis, but sure is nice for times when your card reader acts up or you are on vacation and forget one entirely! Haha

The angle that the drone will fly backwards using that shot feature actually is specific to the physical camera angle... it's ONLY shallow if the camera placement prior to back motion is shallow. If you have the Spark, say, 20 feet above you and 20 feet away pointed at you, it will move both up and away at a sharp angle.
I much prefer pulling the SD card and the other thing is turn off the obstacle avoidance to double your speeds. Now you have a easy to fly drone that moves faster than 7mph

Hi, I see that this video is from 2 years ago. But, hopefully you or someone else can help with my problem. I saw in your footage, you were recording as you were flying to the side, ( yaw ). I can't seem to get that smooth footage without a tip in the video. The gimbal is not great with yaw. Can someone help me with this? Thanks
If you are using the spark in the faster 'sport' mode, the side to side tilt of the gimbal is turned off. The only way to get smooth side moving shots is to be in the slower cinematic flying mode. Are you still unable to get smooth side flying shots in the slower flight mode?
@@familysteel9953 tripod setting will hold the camera steady but very slow. There is a switch in the middle of the remote that allows you to change between sport mode and normal operation. Just make sure that that is in the normal operation orientation.
Thanks for taking the time to share. One thing I've noticed is that the pictures you take while recording video don't show up when you download the data through the micro usb. Have you had this issue?
so a flying camera has a feature that almost every digital camera from cheap ones to not so cheap one have and he is impressed by that, now if it could read my mind and just auto transfer over to my phone only the files i want to save, i would be impressed by that maybe the spark 2 may have that function.

Hello, Just a bit of info, I have, in the past, downloaded video footage from my Phantom 3 Advanced. I believe (and I may be entirely wrong) that this is a standard feature of the DJI products. Happy flying! :)
As I mentioned in this video, I have also done this on the phantom 3 but it was from the micro usb port on the gimbal which has always made me nervous because of the delicate nature of the gimbal. I know that the mavic can do it through the single usb port on the drone, but hadn't seen any videos on this feature for the spark. It's something that I was concerned about and wanting to test out. When you access the SD card on the computer to copy the files, after the copy is done you can select the files still on SD card and delete them clearing the card.

I've been shooting for years with all kinds of cameras and cards and never have had a single problem with any card reader, internal or external. I've always preferred to leave the camera with the case and just pop the card to deal with in the edit. When I'm done, just pop it back in the camera. I do the same wth the spark. I like keeping it in it's case, so i just pop the card, load it on the Mac, then put the card back in the Spark. To each his own, right? Nice shots.
Directly transfer file from spark through micro usb cabel...we have to power on the spark...it will overheat your spark because without cooling wind from propeller 😰😰😰
2jzallday I shot that using the rocket quick shot mode. Just pointed the camera straight down at me hovering a couple of feet over me and then entered the quickshot and let it fly straight up.

VcBass there is no microphone on the drone so there is no audio to record. Only way to get audio is to install a different camera or your own microphone.

Hey the dronie mode works on the tilt of YOUR CAMERA. So if you set the camera at a 45°tilt it'll fly out at that degree

It's in the manual. Also, you can use that port connect to pc to perform firmware update using the DJi Assistant 2 app.

You can just highlight, right click, delete. Or format from there

This was one of the first things I tested when my spark was delivered. Anything that records should be USB Mass storage enabled by default IMO.

The reason that the secret is hidden is because the print on the manual is so small that no one can read it.

Saliman Pang what about when hooked up via usb to dji assistant to update firmware ? That's what the usb port is there for. To transfer data.
The cooling fan is on while the transfer is in progress and it literally takes 30 seconds to complete in most cases.
Dronie sucks.It barely rises up...I crashed my Spark in Helix mode too..Now that REALLY rises up! :)

I find it a little tricky to judge distance with spark when flying fpv. Seems to have a narrow fov.
